Veiling Statues to Protest Islamisation from Munich to Vienna

November 29, 2007 by Christine | 910 Group | 06:44:27 | Comments [1] |

As posted at Gates of Vienna:

Veiled sculptureBack in September I wrote about the Anonymous Group of Democratic and Free Thinking, an anti-jihad action organization in Germany. The group has struck again, veiling statues and sculptures in an overnight operation to draw attention to the consequences facing Europe if Islamization is not reversed. Photos of the results are here.

This time the Anonymous Group of Democratic and Free Thinking extended their operation to cover all the German-speaking areas of Europe. Below is their press release, which was emailed to Gates of Vienna early this morning.

Democracy - how long will it remain?

Veiling of public statues in German-speaking areas

On 27 November 2007, we continued our precious campaign of veiling statues to inform the public about the threat of Islamisation to our democratic and liberal values. With this repeated action in the cities of Zurich, Innsbruck, Vienna, Cologne, Berlin, Heidelberg, Wuppertal, Munich, Osnabrück, and Mönchengladbach, we expanded to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

  • 11 statues were veiled with a Burqa or a head scarf.
  • The statues also bear a sash inscribed with a question all German, Swiss and Austrian citizens have to ask themselves: Democracy - how long will it remain?
  • Each statue bears two printed signboards which draw a comparison between the German, Austrian and Swiss constitutions on the one hand and the Quran otherwise. Thus these statues convey the message that many citizens are afraid to say.

Read the whole thing here and look for more veilings to come….

Pipes: Accept Israel as the Jewish State?

by Christine | 910 Group | 06:13:40 | Comments [2] |

Daniel Pipes exposes the Palestinians’ true intentions - to destroy Israel, despite the mass delusions of the Bush State Department -  in this op-ed in the Jerusalem Post:

Surprisingly, something useful has emerged from the combination of the misconceived Annapolis meeting and a weak Israeli prime minister, Ehud (”Peace is achieved through concessions”) Olmert. Breaking with his predecessors, Olmert has boldly demanded that his Palestinian bargaining partners accept Israel’s permanent existence as a Jewish state, thereby evoking a revealing response.

Unless the Palestinians recognize Israel as “a Jewish state,” Olmert announced on November 11, the Annapolis-related talks would not proceed. “I do not intend to compromise in any way over the issue of the Jewish state. This will be a condition for our recognition of a Palestinian state.”

He confirmed these points a day later, describing the “recognition of Israel as a state for the Jewish people” as the “launching point for all negotiations. We won’t have an argument with anyone in the world over the fact that Israel is a state of the Jewish people.”

The Palestinian leadership, he noted, must “want to make peace with Israel as a Jewish state.”

Raising this topic has the virtue of finally focusing attention on what is the central topic in the Arab-Israeli conflict - Zionism, the Jewish nationalist movement, a topic that typically gets ignored in the hubbub of negotiations. Since nearly the birth of the state, these have focused on the intricacies of such subsidiary issues as borders, troop placements, armaments and arms control, sanctities, natural resources, residential rights, diplomatic representation, and foreign relations.

The Palestinian leadership responded quickly and unequivocally to Olmert’s demand:

# The Higher Arab Monitoring Committee in Nazareth unanimously called on the Palestinian Authority not to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

# Salam Fayad, Palestinian Authority prime minister: “Israel can define itself as it likes, but the Palestinians will not recognize it as a Jewish state.”

# Yasser Abed Rabbo, secretary-general of the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s executive committee: “This issue is not on the table; it is raised for internal [Israeli] consumption.”

# Ahmed Qurei, chief Palestinian negotiator: “This [demand] is absolutely refused.”

# Saeb Erekat, head of the PLO Negotiations Department: “The Palestinians will never acknowledge Israel’s Jewish identity. … There is no country in the world where religious and national identities are intertwined.” Erekat’s generalization is both curious and revealing. Not only do 56 states and the PLO belong to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, but most of them, including the PLO, make the sharia (Islamic law) their main or only source of legislation. Saudi Arabia even requires that every subject be a Muslim.

You’ll want to read the whole thing - it just gets better…

Steyn: The Silence of the Artistic Lambs

by Christine | 910 Group | 00:28:21 | Comments [1] |

Mark Steyn in “The Silence of the Artistic Lambs” in Maclean’s writes that “Most writers and filmmakers ignore today’s epic cross-cultural war. It’s safer that way…”:

Western Europe is undergoing a remarkable transformation, and it’s hardly surprising that Daniel Silva should want to novelize it. In my own more prosaic way, I published a book a year ago on the same theme which the executive honchos at Maclean’s were pleased to excerpt in these pages as a cover story called “The Future Belongs to Islam.” The title is not overstated: given the demographic wind behind Islam, insofar as Germany and France and Britain and the Low Countries and Scandinavia have a future, it will be principally determined by the mediation between a resurgent Islam and a declining ethnic European population, and also by the mediation between so-called “radical Islam” and so-called “moderate Muslims.” As the late Mr. van Gogh and the late Mr. Selam might tell you if they could, the cross-cultural exchange doesn’t always go as well as it might. But, even when it’s not homicidal, it’s still arresting, and transformative. Let me give you a small example, from last week’s Evening Standard:

An insightful and - as usual - darkly amusing essay - read it all here.

Atlas: Importing the Jihad - Massive Muslim Immigration

November 27, 2007 by Christine | 910 Group | 18:14:49 | Comments [2] |

Atlas Shrugs has a detailed post with comprehensive research on the State Department’s Project to create Muslim communities throughout the U.S.

Just a little bit of Paris burning, in your own backyard…

The site with the research and updates on this topic is Refugee Resettlement Watch - they’re tracking the  problems with legal Muslim refugee immigration to the U.S., which has a potential to increase significantly (and presumably with a minimum of vetting) due to bills like HR 2265.

Just a selection from Atlas’ article:

We in America cloak ourselves in a certain smugness. While we look down at what our European counterparts have done with their continent - abandoning it to Muslim immigration in pursuit of of a Euro/Arab axis (Eurabia), we delude ourselves into believing we are different.  They drove their countries to absolute ruination in two generations and we won’t.

Take little comfort. The jihad is coming quietly to American by  the intentional building of Muslim populations in small to medium American cities. Whole communities are being importing from countries like Somalia with the tacit approval of the State Department and the complicity of companies like Clintonista backed Tyson Foods.

Its always a shock to people when they first find out how Refugee Resettlement works.   Ann and Judy over at Refugee Resettlement Watch started working on it  last spring when they learned that the Virginia Council of Churches had been bringing mostly Muslim refugees into their county in western Maryland (entirely paid for by the Federal government)   When no one would explain to them how this could happen they set out to figure it out on their own…  consequently they blog.    They managed to stop further resettlement in Hagerstown (their county seat) through a vigorous grassroots campaign. Ann has provided me with all of this devastating intel. Once again the individual saves the day.

Check the numbers. 70,000  Somalis have been brought….

Read the entire post, and ask the State Department about how many Muslim refugees are being “resettled” in your community.  If you need help in putting together a query letter to State about your county or state, or if needed a Freedom of Information Request, the experts on this topic in the U.S. are Ann Corcoran and Judy Warner at  http://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com .

Glick: Is November 29 A Day To Celebrate?

Is November 29 A Day To Celebrate

By Carolyn Glick

The Jerusalem PostThere is a bit of perverse poetry in the fact that the Annapolis conference is taking place the same week as the 60th anniversary of the UN General Assembly’s resolution recommending that the British Mandate of Palestine be partitioned between a Jewish and Arab state.

What the confluence of events serves to show is just how little has changed in the past 60 years.

Both the 1947 UN resolution and the Annapolis conference are dedicated to the task of forcing the Jewish people to compromise their rights in a bid to appease Israel’s neighbors who still 60 years on maintain their refusal to accept the right of the Jewish people to sovereignty over their land. And both are presented as diplomatic achievements by the Israeli government.

The Olmert government, backed by the leftist Israeli media, has presented the decision of Arab and Muslim states like Saudi Arabia, Syria, Pakistan and Indonesia which do not accept Israel’s right to exist to participate in the Annapolis conference as a major breakthrough. But this is nonsense. The representatives of these states will use their American-provided platform to condemn Israel, just as they use every other available international platform to do so.
Similarly, the Olmert government, backed by Israel’s leftist media celebrates the 1947 UN resolution as if it were the foundation of Israel’s international legitimacy. Not only is this incorrect, over the years, the perception that Israel owes its legitimacy to that UN resolution has had corrosive effect on Israel’s ability to conduct foreign policy in a manner that advances its national interest. This effect is clearly evident in the Olmert government’s handling of foreign policy.

Nuclear Materials Thefts At Record High in Canada

November 26, 2007 by Canadian Sentinel | 910 Group | 11:35:36 | Comments [1] |

Story here.

News of the jump in thefts and lost material coincides with an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) meeting in Europe at whichnuclear counter-terrorism specialists were told this week of an almost four-fold increase in nuclear smuggling since 2006, a further indication that al-Qaeda-inspired radicals may be trying to obtain radioactive material for a
bomb.

Highly-enriched uranium and plutonium, the essential ingredients for a nuclear bomb, remain obvious concerns. But officials are also worried about nuclear material in millions of radioactive sources, typically in measuring and analytical equipment used in medicine, industry, agriculture and research, that could be extracted and spewed into the air using conventional high explosives. The primary intent would be to panic a population rather than inflict mass causalities.

As of Wednesday, 26 radioactive sources have been reported lost and stolen so far this year in Canada, compared to 15 last year and a dozen in 2005, according to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), the federal nuclear regulator.

Fourteen devices this year remain missing, twice as many as last year when six were not recovered and almost three times the five still missing from 2005.

I’m now perceiving a pattern. And, no, that isn’t just from this report. It’s cumulative over time and international.

I’ve blogged about Osama bin Laden’s “American Hiroshima” plot involving a dirty bomb. With reports of accelerating thefts of radioactive materials year over year, one must necessarily wonder what, if anything, the state apparatus is doing to get serious about preventing such thefts. One must also wonder (not only due to rising radioactive materials thefts, but also due to many other reports indicating appallingly, shockingly lax national security practices) whether, despite this being the post-9/11 era, our governments are really all that concerned about the very real and present danger of terrorist or other attacks in North America. Surely, if it can happen everywhere else in the world, one must deduct that it must also happen here, as, of course, the same enemies have declared North America to be in their crosshairs.

We don’t actually see or even hear of there being a lot of government activity to prevent terrorism and other forms of enemy attack; quite the contrary, in fact. Perhaps this is by design: maybe the government prefers to keep it secretive and low-profile so as to not make the population worry needlessly. On the other hand, it’s also possible that the Left and the MSM (with obvious encouragement from our enemies) have exerted sufficient pressure against our governments to deter them from being more aggressive about protecting our safety and security from enemy attack. Unfortunately, we really don’t know what is the case and I fear we’ll end up finding out the hard way, that far too many executive decision-makers haven’t yet learned the lessons of history…

Keep Jerusalem United. Call - right now.

November 23, 2007 by Christine | 910 Group | 20:17:08 | Comments [0] |

Keep Jerusalem United. Call for Jerusalem.

The Coordinating Council on Jerusalem has set up a terrific way for you to phone George Bush, the Embassy of Israel and the State Department to demand that they stop all the pressure for concessions from Israel.

Do this now. Whether you’re shopping or raking leaves or running out the door to catch a plane, you can do this. It will take 90 seconds to do the right and proper thing by Israel in this week of extreme crisis for that nation, the bulwark of civilization and democracy in the region.

As the CCJER writes:On November 26th, world leaders will congregate in Annapolis to once again seek concessions from Israel and declare that Jerusalem should be divided, with part becoming the capital of a new, Hamas-controlled Palestinian terror-state. Israel should not be pressured by the United States, least of all while facing terrorism, rocket attacks, and hate, and while its kidnapped soldiers remain hostages.

You can help with just 3 calls:
(the system will call your phone for free)[…]

Do this. And pass it on to your friends by email.

Cogen: Opposing Jihadism - An Onset For A Cure

by Christine | 910 Group | 18:51:19 | Comments [1] |

Opposing Jihadism - An Onset For A Cure
Counterjihad Brussels 2007

Presentation by Dr. Marc Cogen

Jihadism is a violent and radical fundamentalism and it has emerged as this century’s nightmare. It follows the same dark path as last century’s ideological nightmares: fascism and Soviet-styled communism. Jihadism is a political ideology with global ambitions. It wants to establish a world-wide caliphate by rejecting and destroying the current state system. Jihadists strive for the collapse of the economies and the governments of our society. They want to overthrow the moderate, modern nations and to replace them by a caliphate. Jihadism does not recognize borders, and the drive to globalization even strengthens them in this belief. Jihadists like internet and new technologies as a tool to destroy the state system and to spread their message into Europe and other places outside the traditional sphere of Islam. They try to convince Muslims in Europe to join jihad. I would like to address the question how to deal with private armies and their members. We can make analyses on jihadism, on the spread of violent Islam in Europe, but these efforts must lead to a strategy to combat them. We need a cure now.

Military tribunals must put members of private armies on trial.

Since jihadists reject state systems - an invention of the European Westphalian world order - they establish private armies. Private armies created by jihadism have multiple faces and a multitude of names such as Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaida, Armed Islamic Group (GIA - Algeria), Harakat-Ul-Jihad-Ul-Islami (Bangladesh), Jaish-e-Mohammed (Kashmir), Mehdi Army of Iraq, Millat-E-Islami (Pakistan), Tanzim Qu’idat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-rafidayn (Jordan), the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. And I do not mention the Southeast Asian cluster of private jihadist armies. In news reports various terms are used to refer to those private armies such as terrorist cells, insurgents, militia, fighters … But we may never forget that only states have the monopoly on the use of force. The UN Charter only recognizes use of force by states for specific and limited purposes. And only states have the right to maintain armed forces. We must rescue international law by denying these private armies any aspect of legality. Since members of private armies do not have the right to take up arms, they cannot be treated as prisoners-of-war with the privileges and guarantees of the Third Geneva Convention. If captured in battle or elsewhere, they should be tried outside the common criminal justice system. Unfortunately the laws of war are not developed on the status of members of private armies and their punishment since the laws of war were drafted at a time of inter-state wars.

Country Report on Islamization: Austria
Counterjihad Brussels 2007

Presentation by Elizabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff

Good afternoon, distinguished speakers, ladies and gentlemen!

Austria is unique among Western European countries insofar as it has granted Muslims the status of a recognized religious community. This dates back to the times following Austria-Hungary’s annexation of Bosnia and Hercegovina. Austria has regulated the religious freedoms of the Muslim community with the so-called “Anerkennungsgesetz” (”Act of Recognition”). This law was expanded and elaborated in 1912 with the so-called Law on Islam. This law, in turn, was reactivated in 1979 when the Islamic Religious Community in Austria (Islamische Glaubensgemeinschaft in Österreich) was founded and given the status of a religious organization and public corporation[i].

This Act of Recognition has led to the following privileges:

  • Unlimited exercise of religious freedom within in the limits of the current jurisdiction of the Federal Constitutional Court.
  • Religious instruction in schools for free as mandated by federal law.
  • The Republic is obliged to provide instructional material and to finance religious instructors.
  • The Republic has no influence on teaching personnel selection as well as content of religious curriculum, which was last updated in 1983 and includes the portrayal of the replacement of a non-Muslim with a Muslim society.
  • In 1989, a change to the federal law on Islam was passed, clarifying which religious schools in Islam were to be accepted and covered by the Law on Islam. Until then, only the Bosnian Hanefa school of jurisprudence had been accepted.

Recognition is not only limited to formal equal treatment of symbols and rituals; it is also a material right -, hence the public funding of religious institutions. A further significant pillar of recognition is dialogue between State authorities and faith organizations.[ii]

Dotezac: Islamisation Country Report - Switzerland

Country Report on Islamisation: Switzerland
Counterjihad Brussels 2007

Presentation by Arnaud Dotézac

Although Switzerland (CH) is not a member of the European Union, it is no doubt part of the Eurabia frame and an active benefactor to the Euromed expression of it. This is the case either directly or more discretely through the EALE Treaty. For instance the free trade program with “Palestinian Authoritiy” is managed by such AELE treaty.

It is also well known that CH holds a very critical amount of muslim assets within its private banking network. Finally, CH has historical links with some root movement of salafism, namely the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) who opened its first most influential embassy in Geneva, “centre islamique de Genève“with Saïd Ramadan, father of Tariq. This has been helped by a very efficient network headed by people like the swiss nazi banker François Genoud helped by people like Ahmed Huber the son of whom, Amr, being the head for the internet service of the Swiss government.

It is therefore not by chance that the former president of the Swiss Confederation Micheline Calmy-Rey, was the first to protest officially when Tariq Ramadan’s visa to the US has been refused. It is no secret that the Swiss foreign ministry is bound by duty to help the Arabic cause in general and the Palestinian one in particular.

Swiss politician are not less fully bound by their dependency to the Islamic finance and political Eurabian ties, than any other European country.

But on the other hand, CH is the only country in Europe where the semi-direct democracy is still in effect. That is to say, the right of citizens outside the legislature to originate legislation thanks to petition.

This means that the people of Switzerland have the right to impose the discussion of a bill based on the collection of a certain amount of signatures pertaining to the relevant petition process.

This is how CH is nothing but the only country in the world trying to ban the minaret at the constitution level…

So, from legislative point of view, CH might be one of the most promising laboratories to counteract the spread of islam in Europe, if the initiatives are intelligently performed and if any adverse effect is well and enough anticipated.

Some orientation could be based on the principle of precaution or precautionary principle. The idea is very simple. When terrorism can be considered as a danger, islam should be considered as a risk to generate such a danger. When this is postulated as such, the immediate reaction of the supporters of islam is well known: islamophobia and the sort.

Gaigher: Islamisation Country Report - Italy

Country Report on Islamisation: Italy
Counterjihad Brussels 2007
Presentation by Adriana Bolchini GaigherThe shadow of theocratic totalitarianism hovers over Italy and over Europe and is in danger of winning the war declared on us.

Italy and the Italians are going through dark times. We find ourselves in a period of crisis, which has lasted several years now because of the lack of willingness to integrate of “self-appointed Muslim representatives” who have no desire to cohabit with us but rather want to implement a political project, which they have planned over many years.

For us western democracies THIS the main problem:
If in Islam society, politics, culture and religion, are all one, how can we live in harmony with a muslim system that wishes to islamize all aspects of life?

This political plan has already produced in Italy a series of small manifestations of intolerance towards Christian religious symbols, which have offended many Christians (who have not however retaliated by burning mosques or killing imam) Here are 3 examples:
In January 2006 Adel Smith began his battle against the crucifix, calling it “a cadaver” and demanded it be removed from the wall of his sons’ school. Not content with that, he throws out of the window the crucifix from the wall of the hospital ward where his mother was being treated together with two other Christian patients, who protest at his actions. Adel Smith is fined and sentenced to 6 months jail.
21/08/07 a Muslim immigrant in the district of Casatenovo (Lecco), concreted up a wall chapel containing the statue of the Madonna, symbol of the whole, small local community. He was interrupted by two elderly ladies of the neighbourhood, who demanded that he hand over the statue of the Madonna. The police were called and the mayor insisted that the wall chapel be restored, but by this time the statues of the angels had been destroyed.
02/09/07 in Afragola, an illegal Muslim immigrant beheaded two statues of Padre Pio.

In the schools, muslim girl children begin wearing the veil at a very tender age and when they arrive at puberty they disappear from sight and no longer hang out with their Italian friends. If by any chance they choose an Italian fiancèe, he or she is obliged to convert to Islam before the marriage is permitted.

In Milan, an Egyptian /Arabic school was opened, contrary to all current regulations, to provide an islamic education to muslim children. The result was:

26/06/07 - In the Arabic school in Via Maniago, only 10 pupils showed up for their examinations, nearly all of them veiled females. Their knowledge was practically nil, especially in history. For them, wheat was introduced into Europe by the Arabs, Anne Frank died in Israel, they had never heard of Christopher Columbus or the Pope, and so on….

Jihad and anti-Jihad in the Netherlands
Country Report on Islamisation
Counterjihad Brussels 2007

Presentation by Johannes J.G. Jansen, Utrecht University
www.arabistjansen.nl

Anti-jihad

The most prominent victim of jihad in the Netherlands is, up to now, the Dutch filmmaker
Theo van Gogh. In the summer of 2004 he made the short film Submission, together with
Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Van Gogh was assassinated November 2, 2004.
The assassin, a certain Mohammed Bouyeri, left a long written statement with the
body of his victim. This statement was written in Dutch, but much of it consisted of Islamic jargon that was hard to understand. Nevertheless, the text of the statement leaves open only one conclusion. The murderer had killed his victim in order to stifle the free discussion about Islam in the Netherlands. It is needless to say that the wishes of the assassin have been fulfilled - but not in their entirety.
A small group of Dutch writers and journalists has kept the debate alive. Since they
were encouraged, if not inspired, by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Dutch press referred to these people s ‘the friends of Ayaan’. Members of the progressive political parties are practically absent from this group.
In the Netherlands, three political parties compete for the favor of the enlightened
voter: the Labor Party, Socialist Party and the Green-Left Party. However, these three parties have all undergone a process of almost total dhimmification. Nevertheless, one of the three,  the Socialist Party, every now and then still shows weak signs of resistance.
An independent member of parliament, Geert Wilders, often attacks Islam in his
speeches and statements. The polls have rewarded him liberally. If there would be elections  today, he would get roughly 20 percent of the national vote. In September 2007, Mr Wilders  proposed a ban on the Koran. The ruling parties indignantly rejected this proposal. While doing so, they declared that in the debate on the proposal to ban the Koran, the contents of the  Koran should not be a point of consideration. A better way to convince the Dutch public that there is something wrong with the Koran could not have been devised.
In spite of the condemnations by the political elite of the Netherlands, Mr Wilders
keeps repeating that to a number of Muslims the Koran is nothing but a license to kill, a
formula that seems to be ironclad. His political opponents try to portray him as half a Nazi,
and consequently this is what large parts of the Dutch public believe.
In the story of Islam and the Netherlands, Ayaan Hirsi Ali deserves a chapter of her
own. She arrived in the Netherlands in 1992, got citizenship in 1997, and in the same year she started to work for the Bureau of the Labor Party. However, in 2002 she committed a crime that cannot be forgiven. She went over to the Liberal-Conservative Party. This has
conditioned the members of the influential Labor Party to see her as someone worse than
Judas, the New Testament figure who betrayed his Lord. Now Judas had the decency to kill himself, but Ayaan is still alive. Her life is seriously threatened by radical Muslims, but the Dutch parliamentary establishment is happy to have got rid of her. The rest is part of the international news.
In the spring of 2007, a student of Iranian origin, Ehsan Jami (Meshhed 1985) became
the self-appointed founding father of a Dutch Committee for Ex-Muslims. In August 2007,
leaving a supermarket, he was attacked by a group of Muslim young men, but he only got
wounded…..

KGS: Islamisation Country Report - Finland

Country Report on Islamization: Finland
Counterjihad Brussels 2007

Presentation by KGS

To the outside observer, Finland’s governmental policies concerning immigration could
be defined as being a riddle wrapped in an enigma. While the social democrats from other
member EU states are clearly behind the multicultural enterprise, immigration to Finland
under the SDP over the last decade has remained remarkably low. And with the victory of
the conservative National Coalition and the Central Party in elections earlier this year, it
shows no sign of increasing.

To add further to the Finnish puzzle, just last week, Lauri Ihalainen, chairman for
Finland’s largest labour union SAK, said that “Immigration is not the answer to labour
shortages, that though foreign labour could be a stop-gap measure it would not solve the
basic problem. Though he thought work was the best way to integrate immigrants into
society but the process was not without problems. He reminded that while the average
unemployment rate in Finland stood at 7%, the figure for immigrants stood at 25%.”

Where Turkey is concerned, all of Finland’s MEP’s believe that there should be no
tinkering in the EU’s present criteria for enlargement. But then the Finnish riddle
continues, with the most positive position on Turkish EU membership was taken by the
Greens, conservatives, centrists, as well as social democrats.

Earlier this year Dr.Daniel Pipes, founder and director of the Middle East Forum, invited
me to Copenhagen to witness his receiving an award by THE DANISH FREE PRESS
SOCIETY, as well as delivering an historic speech to those present in that overflowing
hall.

The reason I mention this, is due to the fact that after the event, I was frequently asked
the following question: “How is it possible that Finland has resisted the open ended
Muslim immigration policies that are so prevalent in both Scandinavia and elsewhere in
Europe?”

If there is anything worth remembering from this ten minute speech, it is this:
CULTURAL IDENTITY. The Finns haven’t lost it, at least not yet.

Presently, Finnish society has remained resistant to the pressures of a political correctness that views national pride and cultural heritage negatively.

Country Report on Islamisation - Norway
Counterjihad Brussels 2007

Presentation by Jens Anfindsen

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for this opportunity for me to present a short briefing on the status of the islamization of Norway.

Norway has had Muslim immigration since 1974. No one knows the exact number of Muslims living in Norway, but a conservative estimation would place the figure at around a 120 000 individuals, at present. Which means that Muslims now constitute roughly 2,5 % of Norways population of 4,7 million.

No one knows exactly how many Muslims immigrate to Norway each year, since National Statistics Norway does not register the religious denomination of immigrants, only their country of origin. What we do know is that Norway receives around 7000 immigrants a year from countries where Islam is the dominant religion. This figure has been steadily rising for over 30 years.

While non-western immigration to Norway has been skyrocketing in the last few years due to work-force immigration from Eastern Europe, Muslim immigration appears to display a rather steady growth rate.

About 7000 Muslim immigrants a year might seem like a modest figure in comparison to what other countries have to cope with, but the impact this has on Norwegian society is actually quite dramatic. 7000 people is about the size of a small Norwegian village - and so we are receiving one such village of Muslims per year, most of them actually coming from villages in underdeveloped countries. Also, most of these immigrants settle in the capital, Oslo, where children of immigrant background now make up more that 1/3 of all pupils enrolled in first grade, a majority of whom are Muslim. Obviously, this is bringing about some dramatic changes to the environment of our nation’s capital, and is changing the atmosphere and the quality of growing up, living and going through school in that city.

My talk consists of two parts. After a brief report on important developments in
Denmark, I intend to address issues of a more general and strategic importance.

It is by now quite clear that the Danish cartoon crisis that erupted a few months after
Jyllands-Posten’s publication of the Muhammed drawings on 30 September 2005 was
deliberately triggered to test if Denmark was ripe for a take-over in the sense that the
Danes were willing to bow to sharia law and accept their place as dhimmies.
Bernard Lewis went even further and observed that the death sentences against the
Danish cartoonists and editors were a sign that the Islamic strategists were already
considering Denmark to be part of the Dar al-Islam where the sharia applies.
As subsequent research has revealed, it is equally evident that the main instigator of
the troubles in the shape of embassy and flag burnings, violent demonstrations, death
threats and boycotts were muslim states in cahoots with The Muslim Brotherhood.
I shall refrain from speculating as to why the leaders of the umma thought of
Denmark as a soft spot ready to be conquered. Perhaps they had been looking for a
suitable place to show off their global reach and decided that it might as well be
Denmark since it presented itself as a target at the right time.
Recently the entire charade has been repeated following the Swedish artist Lars Vilks’
publication of a drawing of a prophet (he didn’t say it was Muhammed) as a dog in a
traffic circle. The same death threats were issued although the street demonstrations
were not as well organised or violent as in the case of Denmark.
Interestingly the Swedish experience sheds new light on the Danish case. Danish
Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen was roundly blamed and vilified for his
refusal to meet with the ambassadors from muslim states who would like to lecture
him on the proper “tone” in the press and demanded an official apology.

Country Report on Islamistion - Sweden
Counterjihad Brussels 2007
By Reinhard

The Islamization in Sweden is on the whole not very advanced. There are Muslim enclaves in the suburbs of major cities, especially Malmö, Stockholm and Göteborg, but other than women getting compensated for not being hired because of their hijab, there have been few overt attempts at introducing sharia law into Sweden, or conforming Swedish law to sharia law. The most obvious example was an attempt by Mahmoud Aldebe, leader of a Muslim organization with a membership of 70 000, to adapt Swedish law to sharia. This attempt was made last year, and was thouroughly dismissed by all political parties.

http://www.fomi.nu/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3927

The main points were that Muslims need special laws protecting their religious freedoms. The laws that needed the most attention were, according to Aldebe, laws governing marriage, divorce, child protection, and raising underage children. Mosques were to be granted the same status as churches. As Aldebe stated, “A mosque in every city or county would have significant value to the Muslims of the country.” He also lobbied for the creation of interest free loans, the establishment of Islamic private schools, segregated physical education in public schools, acknowledgement of Muslim holidays and time off for prayers, halal butchery, Islamic burial grounds, and a program to educate Swedish imams. These measures were denounced in the media, and Aldebe faced a considerable public backlash. However, he remains as the head of his organization, and is continuing to quietly lobby for separate laws for Muslims.

The most obvious Islamist attack on Sweden, has been the recent cartoon controversy concerning a caricature of Muhammed as a dog, drawn by Swedish artist Lars Vilks. What happened during this crisis illustrates how far the Islamization of Sweden has gone, and how Swedes are reacting to it. The cartoons were denounced by Swedish Muslims, and later on a reward for killing Lars Vilks and the editor of the magazine which published the cartoon was offered by al-Qaida in Iraq.

Our prime minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt, declined to comment on the threats for a long while, and then issued a statement that he “Thought just like the Muslim representatives who I have listened to today. We shall remain calm, and deny those who call for violence and keep the extremists from worsening the situation.”…..

Batten: Islamisation Country Report: United Kingdom

Country Report on Islamisation: United Kingdom
Counterjihad Brussels 2007
Presentation by Gerard Batten
UK Independence Party Member of the European Parliament for London

As far as anyone knows there are at least 60.3 million people in Britain. The official figure is that about 1.7 million of these are Muslims. Unofficial estimates put the real figure at anything between 2.5 to 3 million. That is between 2.8% and 5% of the total population. Muslims have much higher birth rates that non-Muslims and their number proportionate to the population will, if current demographic trends continue, increase dramatically over the next few decades. That will have profound effects on British society.

Some people say that there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim. I do not agree. I know many Muslims who are hard working, decent and law-abiding. They are not, in my direct personal experience, religious fanatics trying to turn Britain into an Islamic state.

But many Muslims in Britain choose not to integrate into British society and in many inner city areas they have preferred to create, what are effectively, enclaves of the Islamic societies from which the originally came.

There is a real and growing problem with Islamic fundamentalism: a literalist interpretation of the Islamic religion that seeks eventually to transform Britain into an Islamic state. From the Islamic fundamentalist point of view this is not an unreasonable ambition.

The problem is that, so far at least, we have allowed the fanatics and the extremists to gain the upper hand in the ideological and propaganda war.

How this situation has come about may be summarised as follows….

Dewinter: Islamisation Country Report - Belgium

Country Report on Islamization: Belgium
Counterjihad Brussels 2007
October 18, 2007
Presentation by Filip Dewinter

The situation in Belgium does not differ significantly from the situation in other Western European countries, except for the fact that it might be worse here than elsewhere because Belgium is an artificial state without a national identity to defend.

Belgium, like the rest of Europe, is confronted with welfare immigration. Most immigrants in Belgium are Muslims from Morocco. There is also a significant number of Turkish immigrants.

The overwhelming majority of the Muslim immigrants did not come to Belgium as so-called “guest workers” in the 1960s and 70s. They arrived since the 1980s purely for the purpose of claiming benefits. They sympathize with the parties of the Left. This is the very reason why the socialist Belgian establishment has given them the right to vote.

In Antwerp, the Socialist Mayor Leona Detiège defended the policy of granting citizenships (and the subsequent right to participate in the elections) to as many immigrants as possible, on the grounds that the indigenous Flemings are - quote - “politically overrepresented as the immigrants are not allowed to vote” - unquote.

Belgium is confronted with the phenomenon of Islamo-socialism - an alliance between Muslims and the Socialist Party leadership. The latter has seen its traditional blue-collar voters flock to conservative parties, such as ours, and hopes to find a new electoral base.

This strategy has worked. In last year’s local elections in Belgium the immigrant vote tipped the balance in favour of the Left.

In Brussels more than one fifth of the municipal councillors are now immigrants of non-European origin. Most of them are Muslims, and most of them have been elected as Socialists, though many have also been welcomed as Christian-Democrat trade unionists on the lists of the Christian-Democrat Party.

Herre: Islamisation Country Report - Germany

Country Report on Islamisation: Germany
Counterjihad Brussels 2007
Presentation by Stefan Herre (http://www.politicallyincorrect.de *)

I want to review the islamization situation in Germany.

First of all, how many Muslims live in Germany?  We don’t really know.  The Federal Government says 3.1 to 3.4 million.  This would mean about 4 percent of the total population. Similar estimates have been that until summer 2006 there were some 8 million people of immigrant background in Germany, of whom about 40% were Muslims. Yet the Government admits that its figure is only an estimate, not based on verified statistics.  Some observers, such as the Mideast expert Hans-Peter Raddatz, believe that the number is much higher.

A survey of the federal statistics authority in 2005, published June 2006, nearly doubled the 8 million number, to 15.3 million.  The survey did not included religious affiliation.  Thus the estimated absolute number of Muslims stayed the same.  This implied halving the estimated percentage from 40 percent to 20 percent. This seems unrealistic, as immigration of Muslims never was lower than 40%, and their birthrate surely isn’t lower than that of non-Muslim immigrants.  Therefore, Raddatz uses the 40 percent to estimate an absolute number of about 6 million Muslims in Germany.  Yet even this number, although based on logic, is also unverified. The only thing we definitely know about the number of Muslims in Germany is that we don’t know it. Given the federal survey’s lack of interest in the number of immigrant Muslims, analysis  of the costs of Muslim immigration is very difficult.

How did this happen?  In the 1950s the Federal Republic of Germany started to hire foreign workers, the so called Gastarbeiter or guest workers. First they came from Southern European countries such as Italy.  From the early 1960s on this recruitment was expanded to Muslim countries, especially Turkey, and also to North African countries. Turkey faced a rapidly growing, poorly educated rural class, whom the Government there wanted to export.  The majority of Turkish guest workers immigrated at a time when there was no more labour shortage in Germany.  In fact, unemployment slowly increased.

Nevertheless, there is a growing myth circulating that  Turks built up post-war Germany, but most Turks only came became Germany’s economy was already booming.  The myths even imply that Turks brought development and culture to our country; for example, water toilets.  Perhaps there is some classical Islamic mythologizing here, involving disdain for pre-or non-Islamic cultures or their technological achievements, and even to deny their very existence.

As the result of a massive German family reunion program — frequently directed into the German welfare system — a large Turkish community was rapidly established.  In contrast to immigrants from Europe, its members withdrew into insular, parallel societies, especially in the big cities.

Additionally, there were refugees from troubled areas. While Turks make up the large majority of Muslims in Germany, substantial groups include Palestinians, often from Lebanon, and Muslims from former Jugoslavia.  In summer 2006, the Federal Government announced, that some 3.000 German citizens with a Lebanese background were to be evacuated from Lebanon. The German embassy in Beirut only knew about 1.000 German citizens.  Finally we accepted 6.000 refugees from Lebanon.  The Government didn’t want to be too particular about passport controls for humanitarian reasons. How many of them were Hezbollah members, of course, is unknown. Once again, we find that official estimates about how many Muslims are in our country, to say nothing of important details, cannot be relied upon.

The problems caused by Muslim immigrants in Germany are the same as elsewhere.  Perhaps at least in the beginning they might have been milder, as immigrants from Turkey had experience in a secular political system, compared to immigrants from more traditional Islamic countries. On the other hand kemalistic Turks cling to a very distinct nationalism, so that it is frequently difficult to separate nationalist Turkish demands from Islamic ones.

A few months ago the German parliament passed a new immigration law.  It was not at all effective, but it least implied that people immigrating on behalf of family reunion laws — which mostly means young imported wives — have to be at least 18 years old and to know some 200 words of German.  Not only Turkish and Islamic organizations in Germany protested and urged the Federal President, not to sign the law, but even Ankara tried to intervene.
