Here’s a photo from the Islamic Society of North America convention, showing the booth of Hizb ut-Tahrir, the Islamic supremacist group openly dedicated to the establishment of shari’a over the entire world, with a poster advertising “The Shield.”

And in the disgrace of the year, right next door to this most radical of radical front groups: the Department of Homeland Security, apparently trying to recruit employees. Notice how “The Shield” is conspicuously placed on the side of the booth facing the DHS exhibit.

Hizb ut-Tahrir were the authors of the video we linked you to a week or so ago about the restoration of the Caliph, banned in many of the Arab states, but free to operate in the US and much of Europe, where they are ostensibly “peaceful”.

AllahPundit offers the interesting tidbit that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi apparently had ties to the HUT in Jordan, which is one of those things which you didn’t know, but find yourself completely unsurprised to learn.

I remind you that The Secretary of Homeland Security is the one who will make determinations as to who is and is not a terrorist, if HR 2265 becomes a law.

Update: Brian, from the US or Them blog took an issue with the rather quick post I made yesterday on this issue. And while I didn’t toss off a short post on the subject to white wash it, but for time reasons, Brian does point out the difficulty of some low level DHS staffer pointing out the threat, when the Commander in Chief has already said that its “Religion of Peace,”:

This is what can be expected when the President proclaims that Islam is a religion of peace without any further explanation of how that is so easily concluded. How can anyone in the Department of Homeland Security, who wants to keep their job, ask the leaders of DHS to hold back a minute and think this policy through. If a low grade DHS staffer would pass a note to Michael Chertoff to ask if he thought this conference was another form of da’wa, or slow jihad, would Chertoff have any idea of what is meant by the term da’wa? Do the bureacrats at DHS even know what an Islamic Caliphate is? They are complely ignorant of the importance of the Koran, the hadiths, and the sura to the enemy, and why, if to “know thine enemy” is basic principle of modern warfare, the contents of these books, and the similar motivating effects they have on both Al Qaeda and Hizb ut-Tahir.
