MAS Leader Steps Down as member of Virginia Commission on Immigration

September 27, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 22:04:09 | Comments [10] |

(H/T LGF) Charles from Little Green Footballs who initially broke this story, along with Jihad Watch is reporting that Esam Omeish of the Muslim American Society will step down from the Virginia Commission on Immigration, to which he was appointed by Governor Tim Kaine. From the Associated Press:

A member of the state’s Commission of Immigration resigned Thursday, a few hours after Gov. Timothy M. Kaine was told about online videos showing the appointee condemning Israel and advocating “the jihad way.”
Kaine learned of the videos from a caller to his live monthly radio program and accepted the resignation of Dr. Esam S. Omeish about three hours later.

“Dr. Omeish is a respected physician and community leader, yet I have been made aware of certain statements he has made which concern me,” Kaine said in a news release announcing the resignation. The governor said Omeish resigned because he did not want the controversy to distract from the work of the 20-member commission appointed to study the effects of immigration and federal immigration policies on Virginia.

Omeish, who is president of the Muslim American Society and chief of the division of general surgery at INOVA Alexandria Hospital, is shown in a video on YouTube denouncing an invasion of Lebanon by the “Israeli war machine” during an Aug. 12, 2006, rally in Washington.

Gates of Vienna has the video, as well as some deep background into the battle over the Immigration Commission.

In an August 15th, debate with Robert Spencer on the Laura Ingraham show, Omeish announced his support for the imposition of Sharia law in the United States, saying “I understand how laws are made in this country, and if I can get enough people to vote for it, than I’ll do it.”

INGRAHAM- I think that you raise a point that we do have to keep in mind. We
certainly do not want to alienate people who put their patriotism and love of country first,
and their obligation to this great land of ours, and I certainly don’t want to do that. Um…
Shariah law, is Islamic law, and do you, or do you not Dr. Omeish, and this is educational,
I think for our listeners to hear this, do you then not think that shariah law would be
beneficial in the United States for the Muslims living here?

OMEISH- The answer is, if accepted by people, it would be a lovely set of rules, if
people understand its tenets. You know we don’t drink, we don’t gamble, we don’t like to,
you know we’re very much against adultery. You know, we have certain sets of values
that I think we share with our conservative friends here in this country. We like to
advocate them, I’d love to see a day when my girls don’t have premarital sex, and they
don’t date before they get married and they don’t drink, and they don’t do drugs. These
are values that I want to be in laws if I can.

In addition, rather than denouncing Hamas as a terrorist organization Omeish merely pointed out it was the Muslim Brotherhood organization for Palestine with a “political and military agenda.”

OMEISH- Now, to actually label us with the Muslim Brotherhood, as I said, there is a historical association that we agree to, that our law enforcement agencies know about it, we’ve talked about it, we clearly delineated, now that the lies, that we, the… same ideology is behind Al Qaeda is absolutely wrong. Al Zawahiri has nothing to do with it, Osama Bin Laden was never member of it. These people were in fact enemies of the Brotherhood, the Brotherhood itself advocates peaceful engagement, HAMAS happens to be a branch that’s in Palestine because of its political disputes with Israel it has a political and military agenda, that’s their problem.

But in the video the Baron links to, Omeish makes it clear “political disputes with Israel…” are our problem too. And the links to the Muslim Brotherhood are more than just “historical” as Spencer makes clear:

SPENCER: Ahmad Elkadi, Jamal Badawi, and Omar Soubani were listed as members of the Board of Directors of the Muslim Brotherhood, this intelligence just recently came out in the Holy Land Foundation Trial that’s going on right now. These three names are the founding incorporators of the Muslim American Society in the United States. So there is a clear connection to the Brotherhood out of the board of directors of the Muslim Brotherhood leadership in the US. The three of them founded the Muslim American Society.

For our transcript of highlights from the Spencer-Omeish debate click here.

This is the individual which Virginia Governor Tim Kaine selects to serve as a representative on immigration? Cheers to the radio caller who stood up against this nonsense, clearing the smoke screen of Taqiyya around Omeish so that not even Gov. Kaine could ignore the reality. But we need to remain vigilant. From previous actions with the Commission on Immigration it remains clear that every opportunity to stack the deck has been taken. (From: Black Velvet Bruce Lee)

At today’s inaugural meeting of the Virginia Commission on Immigration, the faction of the Virginia Republican leadership that has consistently been blocking attempts to reform state policies regarding illegal aliens joined forces with Governor Kaine’s liberal appointees to the commission denied Delegate Bob Marshall the chairmanship of the commission. Delegate Marshall was the sponsor of the legislation that established this commission, and by tradition that sponsor would lead the commission. Instead, Senator John Watkins, who makes a living by using day laborers of uncertain legal status to work in his business, was elected Chairman. Only Delegates Jackson Miller and Todd Gilbert supported Bob Marshall (Senator Jay O’Brien was late for the meeting and missed this vote) for the Chairmanship of the commission that he created, and by tradition would be tasked to lead.

We’ll just have to wait and see who takes over to play Omeish’s hand.

Update (9/28): I realize I had forgotten to attach the audio source of the transcript quoted above as is our standard procedure. So for all you who wanted to hear Spencer school Omeish on the finer points of jihadist ideology and the Muslim Brotherhood, click here.

Saudi Women Pepperspray Religious Police

September 26, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 17:27:40 | Comments [0] |

As Neverdock says, “More of this please.”  Fausta quotes asharqalawsat.com:

Dammam, Asharq Al-Awsat- Members of Khobar’s Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice were the victims of an attack by two Saudi females, Asharq Al-Awsat can reveal.

According to the head of the commission in Khobar, two girls pepper sprayed members of the commission after they had tried to offer them advice.

Head of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the Eastern province Dr. Mohamed bin Marshood al-Marshood, told Asharq Al Awsat that two of the Commission’s employees were verbally insulted and attacked by two inappropriately-dressed females, in the old market in Prince Bandar street, an area usually crowded with shoppers during the month of Ramadan.
Notice how the crowd didn’t take the Religious Police’s side, either.
According to Dr. Al-Marshood, the two commission members approached the girls in order to “politely” advice and guide them regarding their inappropriate clothing.

Fausta recommends Saudi ladies pick up some additional self defense:

I predict that demand for pepper spray and video phones will continue to increase among Saudi females.

And then there’s the handy-dandy Taser C2, especially designed “for independent, self-reliant women”, available in four designer colors for $299.95. I wonder if they ship to Saudi.

I’m anxious to hear the cries of the saudi religious police, “Don’t tase me Sis!”

Rewriting History

According to an article in the September 26, 2007 edition of Telegraph.co.uk, other races and cultures should be included in historical accounts, starting with the role played by the Turks in the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Read the article.

Did Allah send the storm, too, in answer to pleas from the Turks, thus making Great Britain a land rightfully belonging to Muslims?

…The Armada was blown north up the east coast of England and attempted a return to Spain by sailing around Scotland and out into the Atlantic, past Ireland. But very severe weather destroyed a portion of the fleet, and more than 24 vessels were wrecked on the north and western coasts of Ireland…

Will the next call be for a change to the British flag, which prominently features a cross at its center? After all, according to Trevor Philips, chairman of the Commission for Equalities and Human Rights, the Turks played an important role in the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Perhaps a crescent and star should be added so that Muslims feel more included. Or perhaps replacing the cross on the flag will make them feel even better. Sure, let’s take that step in the name of inclusionism — never mind historical realities.

Multiculturalists desire to rewrite history so that the new account subverts and denies Western culture. What I don’t understand is why it’s just fine for any culture other than our Western one something to be proud of. For example, speaking of the realities of Islamic history elicits cries of “Racist!” and “Islamophobe!” Perhaps a commenter can explain that conundrum to me?

Canada May Declare Iranian Revolutionary Guard Terrorist

September 25, 2007 by Canadian Sentinel | 910 Group | 22:00:48 | Comments [1] |

Story here.

Canada is “very concerned” about Tehran’s intervention outside its borders and has not ruled out banning the Iranian Revolutionary Guard under the Anti-Terrorism Act, says Stockwell Day, the Minister of Public Safety.

“We are very concerned about Iranian intervention in jurisdictions outside of their own, either if that’s affecting our allies or if it’s affecting us,” Mr. Day said in an interview.

(…)

He said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his staff were “key and involved” in the discussions about how Ottawa should respond to actions by Iran that threaten Canadians and Canadian interests.

Asked if the Conservatives would place the Revolutionary Guard on Canada’s list of designated terrorist groups, Mr. Day said: “Nothing’s been ruled out, that’s about all I can say at this point.”

Canadian AQ Gitmo Inmate’s Charges Reinstated

by Canadian Sentinel | 910 Group | 21:55:41 | Comments [1] |

The terrorism-related charges against Canadian Al Qaeda member and Gitmo inmate Omar Khadr have been reinstated.

Khadr was captured when he was 15 and faces charges life in prison on of murder, conspiracy, spying and supporting terrorism counts. He is charged with tossing a grenade that killed one U.S. soldier and injured another in Afghanistan in 2002.

His trial would be the first full legal airing of the Guantanamo detainees, who include several “high-value” prisoners, such as Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the 2001 terror attacks on the United States.

Other western countries have insisted their citizens be brought home from Guantanamo to face justice but Ottawa has refused to intervene on Khadr’s behalf.

Of course, the leftist/Dhimmi Opposition in Canada has been demanding that Khadr be released and allowed into Canada. Funny, though, how they didn’t really make too much noise when Saudi Arabia held and tortured William Sampson on death row on bogus charges. And I wonder if Liberal Party “leader” Stephane Dion will still think it wise to demand Khadr’s release and extradition in light of the fact that the charges have been reinstated. No matter- he has already demonstrated his poor judgement by standing up for an Al Qaeda member.

The Madman at Columbia

September 24, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 23:37:30 | Comments [11] |

The big discussion across the blogosphere seems to be whether President Bollinger’s bash of the Iranian dictator (Hotair) was a redeeming move. Deb from Right Truth  says:

I just finished listening to Columbia President Lee Bollinger’s speech, prior to Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The man was wonderful. I will post a transcript of his comments here as soon as they are available. He did in fact challenge Ahmadinejad on everything I would have wanted. I was against Ahmadinejad appearing at Columbia, but now, it may be a good thing. I was also surprised at the huge applause Bollinger’s comments received. Good for those students and others in the audience.

She also links to those left who were ashamed of Bollinger’s performance: (From DailyKos)

Bollinger’s behavior was inappropriate. It presented to the world the face of an ugly and bullying America. I am utterly humiliated that Bollinger should have behaved this way.

That’s a dhimmi for you. How embarrassing that an American express his opinion about the practices of an Islamist country?

Spree from Wake Up America (who had great coverage today) says Bollinger isn’t off the hook:

If Bollinger thinks his little speech gets him off the hook for inviting this monster to speak at Columbia, he has a surprise coming. He should step down, he has embarrassed the school, he has betrayed every single soldier and Marine that has died from an Iranian weapon, he is a disgrace and should be forced to leave Columbia.

The parents of the students, the alumni, those that contribute to that school should stop and think about whether they want Americas children in the presence of terror sponsoring, murdering thug.

I watched the speech live, and Ahmadinejad started of with a lot of rambling nonsense about science and God (Perhaps it was simply an inadequate translation, but I don’t think so).  It was easy to see that the majority of the applause Ahmadinejad did get came from comments on Palestine, unfortunately not surprising. From Atlas:

His lies, his narrative, his Zionist oppressor bile, his contention that the woman of Iran are the free-est in the world, his despicable homophobic assertion that there are no gays in Iran (no such phenomena) was all to be expected. The really sick part was the uproarious applause of the morally ill in the audience. Columbia is a complete and utter failure.

John Bolton spoke after the evil midget made his speech and was dead to rights when he said of Ahmadinejad, “he got exactly what he wanted.”

Perhaps the final determiner of whether Ahmadinejad had a win today is the dictator himself. LGF has video of his wrap-up where he seems quite pleased with himself and where he gets a disturbing amount of applause from the audience.

Win, Lose or Draw today in the battle for civilization? Let us know what you think.

Despite NYPD Statement, Ahmadinejad may still visit Ground Zero

September 20, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 16:51:04 | Comments [3] |

(H/T Michelle Malkin) From WABC:

A law enforcement source says the Iranian mission to the United Nations has informed the Secret Service that the Iranian president intends to visit Ground Zero Monday at 10 a.m.

The source says regardless of the NYPD’s rejection of the request for a Ground Zero tour, Iran’s president and his entourage will be accompanied by a Secret Service protective detail, a detail provided to all heads of state when they visit the United States.

Even in Iran the genocide enthusiast has been protested. If they have the courage to do it there, where it could mean time in jail or worse, I think we can find time to get out in the streets.  We know Atlas will be there protesting the one she calls, “the Poison Dwarf”.
Meanwhile Columbia University is spouting nonsense to explain their dhimmi status in having invited the murderer in the first place. From Columbia President Bollinger (NY Times Cityroom Blog):

That such a forum could not take place on a university campus in Iran today sharpens the point of what we do here. To commit oneself to a life and a civil society prepared to examine critically all ideas arises from a deep faith in the myriad benefits of a long-term process of meeting bad beliefs with better beliefs and hateful words with wiser words. That faith in freedom has always been and remains today our nation’s most potent weapon against repressive regimes everywhere in the world. This is America at its best.

All of that’s true, except its not what Columbia is doing. What Columbia is doing is providing a platform and conferring legitimacy upon a dictator, which is what Columbia, United Nations and our State Department are all about these days.

Canada’s Liberal Leader Dion Stands Up For Omar Khadr

September 19, 2007 by Canadian Sentinel | 910 Group | 22:32:45 | Comments [2] |
Cross-posted with The Canadian Sentinel (where it’s easier to read- I cannot seem to fix the font size and space the paragraphs on this post for some reason)
The CTV (whitewashed, politically corrected, Dhimmified) report can be seen here.
I just can’t believe the way they (CTV) use the adjective “alleged”, as if the Khadrs had never said they were Al Qaeda!
For the politically incorrect straight dope on the Khadr whom Dhimmi Dion wants to stand up for, see this post from 2005 by Michelle Malkin.
See also Daniel Pipes’ article: [The Khadrs:] Canada’s First Family of Terrorism
And I Was a Teenage Terrorist
Personally, I think that we must stand up for those who are threatened by Al Qaeda, not for Al Qaeda itself!
But what do you expect of a leader like this, of a party like the Liberal Party?
The Liberal Party is keeping this guy Stephane Dion as leader and clearly supports his support of an Al Qaeda Islamic supremacist/imperialist!
Hey, Stephanie, you Dhimmi idiot, what about standing up for Husseyn Celil? He’s a Muslim, too, and he’s in prison on terrorism charges (false charges made up by the Chinese Communist Party against him because he’s an “inconvenient dissident”)? Well? Have you decided he’s not worth your effort?
I say let Omar Khadr face the military tribunal for the murder of Sergeant First Class Christopher Speer, a 28-year-old medic with the U.S. Special Forces.
Why should Stephane Dion stand up for a Khadr when he won’t stand up for Husseyn Celil at the same time?  Anyone ever heard M. Dion rip the SinoCommies a new one over their false charges and imprisonment of Mr. Celil?
Not to worry… Stephane Dion will NEVER become Prime Minister of Canada. He’s far too hellbent on discrediting himself like no one in Canadian history!

Iranian Despot to Visit Ground Zero?

by DKShideler | 910 Group | 22:04:09 | Comments [2] |

Its being discussed, according to the NY Sun. (H/T Hot Air):

In a move that has stunned New York, the Bloomberg administration is in discussions to escort the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to ground zero during his visit to New York next week, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said today.

The Iranian mission to the U.N. made the request to the New York City Police Department and the Secret Service, which will jointly oversee security during the leader’s two-day visit. Mr. Ahmadinejad is scheduled to arrive September 24 to speak to the U.N. General Assembly as the Security Council decides whether to increase sanctions against his country for its uranium enrichment program.

The words you are looking for are, “Over my dead body.” I would say that there is no way this could happen, but I have long since given up on trying to fathom the depths of dhimmitude to which the State Department and the New York government will fall. Allahpundit warns:

Not to go all nutrootsy here, but there are one or two influential people who allegedly read this site so let me issue a formal warning to them on behalf of myself and, I suspect, most of our readers: if Bush and Rice let him go down there, especially in the wake of Petraeus and Crocker reporting the threat Iran poses to American soldiers in Iraq, you have no idea how grave the political fallout will be.

I hope so. Some useful numbers are here if you feel the need to unload. (please be polite. The poor secretary who will be on the other end probably agrees with you.)

Update: Here’s Bloomberg’s contact information:

Islamist Toadstools

by DKShideler | 910 Group | 18:22:34 | Comments [0] |

(H/T NoisyRoom.net) From the Israel Project:

The Holy Land Foundation (HLF) is just one node in a vast network of terror funding that ultimately falls under the umbrella of the Muslim Brotherhood, the most pervasive Islamic fundamentalist movement in the world. In fact, the leaders of most global Islamic terror groups including Hamas - a Palestinian offshoot - have roots in the Brotherhood. Front organizations such as the HLF, which pose as moderate organizations or charities, comprise the infrastructure that enables these global terror organizations to flourish.

The Muslim Brotherhood, established in 1928, has branches in 70 countries worldwide. An explanatory memorandum on the strategic goal of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S. reflects its broad mission:

“The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within….”

That’s in their own words folks, “with all the word means.” And even though the HLF is in the docket, new offshoots appear even before the old ones are put down.

As soon as the U.S. government shut down the HLF and other related organizations, the Muslim Brotherhood orchestrated the creation of new front groups that continued with the mission of financing Hamas’s terrorist activities.

For example, the Global Relief Foundation (GRF), which was closed by the U.S. government in 2001, was re-born the following year when a GRF public relations representative became the president and CEO of a new non-profit organization, KindHearts. Following a two-year U.S. Senate investigation, KindHearts, which was providing financial support for Hamas, was shuttered in Feb. 2006. An organization that terrorism analysts believe was created to replace the HLF — Kinder USA — is still operational.

Well-known and mainstream groups also have been consistently linked with the Muslim Brotherhood’s U.S. network. Perhaps the most prominent is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the HLF trial. CAIR was formed as the daughter organization of the Islamic Association for Palestine, another organization the federal government has shut down. In the course of the HLF trial, F.B.I. agent Lara Burns testified that CAIR received funding from the HLF.

Do any of the lawyers know if the MB could be prosecuted under some kind of RICO statute, so that any of its members could be prosecuted for the activities of its offshoots, whether they are in the propaganda, fundraising or armed [HAMAS] wings? I’d be interested to know more about that possibility. There has to be some way to get at the roots of this thing.

Syria to Serve as Co-Chairman of IAEA

by DKShideler | 910 Group | 17:41:52 | Comments [2] |

(H/T USS Neverdock)-The Jerusalem Post reports that Syria has been named as co-chairman of the International Atomic Energy Agency, just two weeks after the IDF targeted what some are saying was a joint Syrian-North Korean nuclear project.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry had “no public comment” on Syria’s election.

But Gerald Steinberg, chairman of Bar-Ilan University’s political science department and an authority on nonproliferation, said the election “reflects the absurdity of the political process inside the IAEA.”

The deputy chairman has no real power and is merely a symbolic post, similar to a deputy president of the UN General Assembly or a deputy speaker of the Knesset, he said. However, Steinberg added, “this move shows how little these types of international frameworks can really do when some of the main players are also the main violators of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.”

From what little I remember of my International Relations classes from college, the goal of including would be “rogue nations” in international frameworks is to attempt to moderate their behavior by including them. The problem with the diplomatic equivalent of “If you want them to act like adults treat them like adults”, is that any attempt to initiate the corollary (”if they act like children treat them like children) is blocked. We mustn’t punish them for their behaviors, we have to “understand their feelings.” In essence all you are doing is giving positive reinforcement for a negative behavior. The United Nations is really just an international psychotherapist where the rogue and childish nations of the world go to complain about the responsible adults who are paying the therapist’s bill to begin with. Only instead of drawing on the wall with red crayon, they are funding terrorism, building nuclear weapons, and murdering their neighbors.

Next week it’ll be Iran’s Ahmadinejad, who will get a grand international forum on which to say that he wishes all the mean westerners would just go away. Fortunately, a group will be there to say Enough is Enough! I hope you’ll join them.

Update: I should have linked to this post from Gates of Vienna on an accident with Sarin gas, killing Syrian and Iranian chemical weapon scientists:

Proof of cooperation between Iran and Syria in the proliferation and development of weapons of mass destruction was brought to light Monday in a Jane’s Defence Weekly report that dozens of Iranian engineers and 15 Syrian officers were killed in a July 23 accident in Syria.

According to the report, cited by Channel 10, the joint Syrian-Iranian team was attempting to mount a chemical warhead on a Scud missile when the explosion occurred, spreading lethal chemical agents, including sarin nerve gas.

As the Baron remarks, there’s only, “a single corrupt dictator and his clique standing between traditional despotism and a full-fledged Islamist regime.” I would add that he’s not even really standing between us and them, since its because of the tenuous hold these dictators have that they kow-tow to Islamist agitators, and need to earn “Arab street cred” by financing terrorism. The best we can hope for with dictatorships is a public condemnation while they play a sort of elaborate footsie with the Islamists under the table.

The Return of Almontaser?

by DKShideler | 910 Group | 16:50:07 | Comments [1] |

The collection of fringe leftists and Islamist organizations which has rising to the defense of ousted extremist ex-principal Debbie Almontaser has released a petition calling for her to be reinstated. (H/T Stop the Madrassa):

The “Communities in Support of KGIA,” a collection of far-left radical and Islamist individuals and organizations, is calling for Dhabah Almontaser’s reinstatement as principal at KGIA and for an investigation:

We, the undersigned, who stand together in support of the Khalil Gibran International Academy and its founding principal, Debbie Almontaser, call upon New York City Council to immediately establish a committee or task force to investigate the sequence of events leading up to Ms Almontaser’s resignation from her position and to make public the results of this investigation by October 15, 2007.

We disagree with that proposal in part. Almontaser should not have any positions, given her radicalism, in public education. But we absolutely agree that an investigation - with public exposure of all internal memoranda, related emails, drafts of statements and related documents - would greatly benefit the public discussion. The New York City Department of Education, through its refusal to release important KGIA planning documentation and instructional materials (actual curricula materials, lesson plans, hand-outs) has failed to comply with our Freedom of Information Law requests.

Albany may be more effective than the NY City Council in ending the DOE cover-up. And our legal initiative will go into the next stage in a few days - watch this space for the update.

So let’s have an investigation. That is what the STM protest has been about from the beginning. An investigation which hasn’t happened because the DOE knows that they didn’t do due diligence in allowing this “Arabic” school to open, and instead relied solely on people’s fear of being called racists if they disagreed. But that’s not going to work anymore. So by all means, lets have an investigation. The more that the K.G.I.A situation is investigated, the more reasons to close the school rise to the surface. At least one “Community”, CAIR-NY, knows better than to call for investigations, which is why they’ve apparently dropped off the list.

Interestingly, CAIR-NY sponsored the earlier statement supporting Almontaser, but has taken its name off the current one, indicating a growing weakness and disunity among these “Communities in Support of KGIA.” CAIR’s removal of their name from today’s statement calling for the “investigation” may also be a result of CAIR’s political strength waning, as their membership numbers shrink nationwide and their role is more widely known as an unindicted co-conspirator named in the Holy Land Foundation trial on terrorist financing.

I predict that it isn’t long (maybe 2 years) until CAIR undergoes another name changing metamorphosis and begins anew. May I recommend UCCAIR (Unindicted Co-Conspirator for American Islamic Relations)? Or maybe just call it RIAC.

Not this time. We’re not taking our eye off the ball. You can dress it up however you want, the central issue remains the Islamist ideology.

Warning Out of Scotland: Canada May Be Next for Terror Attacks

by Canadian Sentinel | 910 Group | 12:22:26 | Comments [1] |

Story here

Startling news from Scotland today indicates that Canada–Ontario in particular–may be the next site for terrorist attacks.

Indeed, it now turns out that the arrests of 12 men and 5 teenagers as suspected terrorists in Toronto on June 2, 2006, didn’t stop there but cropped up almost
year and a half later in Glasgow. The 12 men and five teens are in custody in
connection with the alleged attacks to the current day.

It is claimed that the attacks foiled by the RCMP and Toronto police stopped a mission that was to include detonating truck bombs, slaughtering shoppers and storming the Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC) and parliament building where terrorists allegedly planned to behead Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

According to mhowie@scotsman.com, “The security services feared Scotland’s first home-grown “wannabe suicide bomber” had been preparing to carry out a terrorist attack in Canada it emerged last night.” ( www.scotsman.com, Sept. 18, 2007).

Read the rest for yourself.

It appears that Canada may well have averted her own 9/11 last year. But it also is apparent that, despite the apprehension of the would-be terrorists in that plot, their fellow terrorists are hard at work, plotting…

Unfortunately, there are also many people who refuse to accept the reality that Canada, and the entire Free World, of course, are under constant threat of attack from murder-and-destruction-intent Islamic supremacist-imperialists. They know who they are. And some are my critics.

Notwithstanding the delusionality of my critics, the right thing to do is to continue to stand guard and help to expose whatever needs to be exposed.

What Islamists hope to accomplish in this international campaign of death and destruction is unclear to me. There’s no apparent logic to their actions, notwithstanding the propaganda they spew (which the left submissively believes). They cannot win. I cannot see how they possibly could.

To attempt to “win”, they must therefore seek alliance with the Axis of Evil.

And this alliance is the means by which they will attempt to take over the world, in partnership (temporary, of course) with such evil regimes as China, North Korea, Iran, Russia, etc, all of whom either have nuclear weapons or soon will.

This is why the Free World must prepare now… including by re-amassing military might.

Veils Across Germany

September 18, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 17:25:11 | Comments [0] |

(H/T Gates of Vienna) Across the country anonymous German citizens pulled off this anti-Islamisation protest. In multiple cities across the country, statues were displayed in burkas and signs. The Baron received the following press release from the group responsible:

On the 18 September 2007, several female statues and sculptures in the cities of Berlin, Braunschweig, Bremen, Hamburg, Cologne, Witten, and Wuppertal are veiled with a Burka and a headscarf.

The aim of this campaign is to point out that the European idea of “unity in variety” is valid in Germany and that democratic and liberal as well as secular thinking is one of the most precious values that is to be protected and to be advocated for.

In a religious system that promotes totalitarian ideas and demands submission of individuals, such an achievement can easily get under pressure. Therefore, there should be a public discussion on whether the European vocabulary and the vocabulary of certain religious systems share a common basis. For instance, the “house of peace” and the “house of war” have a different meaning in Islam and in our understanding. According to the Islamic view, the “house of peace” can only exist where Islam reigns. CAMPAIGN-PICTURES: Veiling of sculptures and statues in a Germany

To oppose these systems, we refer to the article of the German constitution about the right of an individual to develop individual freedom without violating the freedom of others. This is shown by printed signboard.

Even here in Europe, this value and other values of the German constitution are not accepted as the most precious value by certain continuously growing parallel societies.

With this campaign, we want to counter this development.

Anonymous group for democratic and free thinking

Gates of Vienna has an extensive list of the sculptures targeted:

You can see from the sheer number and location of the statutes that this was a planned and coordinated effort. Simple but poignant. Well coordinated but anonymous, it symbolizes resolve and yet is peaceful. The very essence of what we are talking about. To the Democratic and Free thinking people of Germany, congratulations.

Quebec Voters Cover Faces in By-Election in Anti-Dhimmitude Protest

by Canadian Sentinel | 910 Group | 17:08:15 | Comments [19] |

In a follow-up to my recent coverage (scroll down) of Canada’s Chief Electoral Officer’s inexplicable declaration that Muslim women (not specifically, but of course that was his intent, as I explained in an earlier post) don’t have to show their faces to vote, I cross-post from my own site…

But, first:  Great news:  The Liberals (those Dhimmis and Ameriphobes probably recalled by many Americans) were pulverized in yesterday’s byelections, getting nothing at all.  The Conservative government is as strong as ever, so we can expect more of the right things to be done by Canada, notwithstanding idiots like the Chief Electoral Officer and his Dhimmi activism.

Story here

Just like I predicted.

At least one voter in the riding of Roberval-Lac-St-Jean and as many as five in St-Hyacinthe-Bagot reportedly wore veils when they cast their ballot. Local media outlets say all were protesting federal election laws that allow voters to cover their faces as long as they swear an oath and present two valid pieces of identification.

So that’s about a half-dozen who were allowed to vote with their faces hidden.

Interestingly…

In St-Hyacinthe-Bagot, where the protesters included a man, one person was asked to reveal their face at the request of election officials.

Aha! One of the hidden-face voters was required to show their face. But I thought there was no such requirement, according to the revolutionary leftwing activist Chief Electoral Officer? There are alternatives to showing one’s face, as we well know, but here we have someone being singled out for some unspecified reason to show their face. Interesting. Why doesn’t the MSM report tell us more? Was it a man who was required to show his face?

What happened? Anyone got any information?

As for any leftists complaining as to why I refer to the Chief Electoral Officer as a “revolutionary leftwing activist”, I raise the following…

Electoral officer says he won’t ‘juggle’ fundamental rights over veil issue

Sound disturbingly familiar? Who is he to unilaterally deem what are and what aren’t “fundamental rights”?

This is classic left-wing propaganda/psychological manipulation of the People via slickly-oiled psychoaffective semantics. Calling your preferences “fundamental rights” has for so long worked, as most are intimidated from arguing against what someone claims (and is backed up by the MSM) as a “fundamental right”.

(Covering one’s face while voting is NOT a “fundamental right”, Mr. Mayrand, and you KNOW it… and it’s not even a right in the few Muslim nations that allow people to vote)

This reminds me of the Big Lie campaign that led to, in Canada under Liberal rule, the undemocratic, illegal, unconstitutional imposition of the sexual liberalization/expansion of the sacred, exclusive fundamental social institution of marriage, effectively neutralizing/rendering impotent the true, accepted purpose of marriage as being in the interest of society and children and not really in the interest of individuals getting married (that is why society granted special preferences to married people to reward them for their personal, altruistic sacrifices and contribution to society via the raising of children in safe, stable, positive environments).

Here’s some excerpts from a Commons Committee q&a session:

“You have the power for veiled women to remove their veil … but you’re suggesting you do not wish to exercise that authority that you have and I’m wondering why,” asked Conservative MP Tom Lukiwski.

“Fundamental reason is that this authority … I believe is designed much more for operational matters as opposed to dealing with some fundamental rights protected by the Charter, including the right to vote and freedom of religion,” Mayrand responded. “And I think it’s not up to an administrator of the electoral system to juggle those rights.”

Asked whether he would use those powers if directed to do so by the committee, Mayrand said he wouldn’t, because it would require him to “offend the act and not uphold the law.”

His self-defence is purely nonsensical and he didn’t even try to back it up with any proof. He merely gets all big-headed, acting like some righteous guru or something, and claims that what he’s doing is somehow “defending rights”. Interesting, as he initially only said he was “interpreting the legislation” and didn’t try to suggest that he was some kind of saint! He has clearly had coaching in how to spin what he’s done, in my estimation.

This guy is indubitably a progressive liberal leftist revolutionary deliberately abusing his awesome power to unilaterally impose things upon society that aren’t supported by legislation, nor the Charter, nor called for by anyone who’s spoken up. People who do what he’s doing are immoral, unethical, a de-facto enemy of the People for doing this, just as are judges who say the Charter says something it doesn’t! He’s part of the Big Lie community of revolutionaries who infiltrate the state apparatus for the purpose of transforming society without the support of the Charter, laws, nor the consent of the People. And they fabricate Big Lies, using sugarcoated rhetoric designed to silence opposition with the implied threat that opponents to their propaganda will be slurred as “bigots” or “haters”, etc.

And the Islamic supremacism/imperialism connection looms large throughout the whole issue.

I’d like for there to be a CSIS/RCMP investigation into whether there has been any extremist Islamic influence on this very important position currently held by Mr. Mayrand.

If there was any interference; if there is any Dhimmitude involved in the decision…

I believe Mr. Mayrand must step down pending an investigation.

Better yet, he must resign. Or be fired.

He is clearly, in my opinion, unfit to command Canada’s agency responsible for democracy.

After all, his ruling has nothing to do with democracy, but rather everything to do with his personal political ideology!

Finally, to pre-emptively address any leftist accusation of “Islamophobia”, might I allude to the fact that in America, George Soros has demanded that any and all Christians who ever visited the Bush White House be investigated… and the MSM didn’t make a stink over it, nor did Soros’s leftwing minions, at his apparent, unjustified Christianophobia. So I’ll take no ludicrous defamation in response to my perfectly legitimate, justifiable, PROTECTED BY THE CHARTER AS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT analysis and calls for investigation.

I have a FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT to criticize those entrusted by the People to only act in their interests and in the interests of Canada and her national security and to demand that they be investigated when they behave suspiciously as is Mr. Mayrand.

If we allow subversives to infiltrate the state apparatus and do illegal, unconstitutional things in line with an agenda to transform the country in the interests of any special interest or extremist groups, without the proper, full, scrupulously truthful information of and direct consent by, the People, then we’re allowing our country to be transformed by criminals.

I call for Mr. Mayrand to withdraw his ruling immediately and resign.

Don’t Let Iranian Madman Go Unanswered

September 17, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 23:21:50 | Comments [2] |

Iranian dictator Ahmadinejad will be in New York City to address the United Nations. He’s called for the destruction of Israel and the Jews, funded terrorists, and seeks nuclear weapons. But he’s not going to go unanswered. The Rally to Stop Iran Now will be held Monday, September 24, 2007, at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, across from the United Nations, from noon on. The Council of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations is leading the rally, additional information is available on their website.

Obviously we can’t count on the United Nations to hold Ahmadinejad’s feet to the fire over its human rights abuses, support for terror or its efforts to create a nuclear arsenal. From NY Times, H/T Hotair):

Dr. ElBaradei, who is 65, seems unfazed, even energized, by all the dissent. He alludes to a sense of destiny that has pressed him into the role of world peacemaker. He has called those who advocate war against Iran “crazies,” and in two long recent interviews described himself as a “secular pope” whose mission is to “make sure, frankly, that we do not end up killing each other.”

Even the French are nervous enough to start talking tough.

The world should brace for a possible war over the Iranian nuclear crisis but seeking a solution through talks should take priority, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said on Sunday.

“We have to prepare for the worst, and the worst is war,” he said in an interview broadcast on French television and radio.

“We must negotiate right to the end,” with Iran, he said, but underlined that if Tehran possessed an atomic weapon, it would represent “a real danger for the whole world.”

“We are trying to put in place plans which are the privilege of chiefs of staff and that is not for tomorrow,” he said, referring to military plans but stressed that although any attack on Iran was far from taking place, “It is normal for us to plan” for any eventuality.

Get out next week, and Rally to Stop Iran. If conflict can be prevented it will only be because Ahmadinejad and his crony know that the people of the West will not allow their regime to continue down a path towards genocide unimpeded.

Dearbornistan Dhimmis Delay Announcement of Terrorist Capture

by DKShideler | 910 Group | 21:43:50 | Comments [0] |

H/T LGF, who sums it up perfectly, “This is bad craziness.” According to PressandGuide.com, Dearborn,MI official delayed announcing that Hizbollah supporter Hussein Zorkot was arrested in order to not, “stir anti-Muslim sentiments”.

City officials feared that announcing the arrest of an armed Arabic man so close to anniversary of the attack would stir anti-Muslim sentiments and fan the flames of terrorism.

“We didn’t want this to become more than it is,” O’Reilly said. “There are certain things that the media latches onto, and this would have turned into a story about terrorism. That’s not the kind of tone we want to set.”

Zorkot has not been identified as a terrorist and has yet to be associated with any terrorist group, O’Reilly said. He has been charged with multiple felonies for carrying a dangerous weapon.

Has not been identified as a terrorist? He self-identifies as a member of Hizbollah, as Robert Spencer pointed out in today’s Front-page Mag.

His website features photographs of the Ayatollah Khomeini and a great deal of pro-Hizbollah material. Most ominously, on the day he was arrested he uploaded onto his site an image that included a photo of a soldier holding a rifle, with the caption, “The Start of My Personal Jihad (in the US).” Underneath in Arabic was Qur’an 9:20: “Those who believe, and have left their homes and striven with their wealth and their lives in Allah’s way are of much greater worth in Allah’s sight. These are they who are triumphant.” The Arabic for “striven…in Allah’s way” is jahadoo fi sabil Allah, which in Islamic theology refers in particular to jihad as warfare.

Actually, I haven’t seen any evidence that the event, “turned into a story about terrorism”, seeing as the mass media has largely ignored it, describing only “a camouflaged man armed with AK-47…” An armed man? Just poor Uncle Jeb trying to keep his family fed? Or a Lebanese man with a website dedicated to an Islamic terrorist movement? Alot of us complain about the use of the term, “War on Terror” since it doesn’t adequately describe the enemy. But now we can’t even admit the people attacking us are terrorists. They’re “Dearborn Men,” or “medical students,” as though the Hippocratic oath says “kill the (non-doctors) wherever you find them.” What do you call a terrorist, if you can’t call him a terrorist? (and calling him a Jihadi is right out.) I was immediately reminded of Evan Sayet’s “How Modern Liberals Think” speech.

“…in order to not to discriminate, we have to intentionally make ourselves stupid. We have to intentionally pretend we don’t know, some of the things we do know.”

Fortunately there are good folks out there who are not willing to self lobotomize.
