Try as I might I can’t find the website for the Stop the Madrassa Coalition, can’t find a phone number or address either. Please send the info to me as I would like to help stop this ’school’. Also, please send it to UncleDovid@aol.com - he’s a friend who would also like to see this ’school’ fade away.

Thank you,

Barbara Paolucci

I am appalled, even in this age of political correctness,
that a religion and a culture that marginalizes half its population (women)is to be promoted in a public school that uses tax funds and is a part of the New York City educational system. We should be hoping for assimilation of American values by these immigrants who were not forced to enter the U.S. but came here voluntarily. All the rights and respect that American women have gained during the short history of our country is in jeopardy if we allow this misogynistic culture to flourish in New York Public Schools.

Pamela Hall seems to have a warped agenda. Her ignorance on allowing children in the US to educate themselves on Arabic to better prepare themselves for global job market is instilling racism in the hearts and minds of Americans. Doesn’t she know that English is not the only language spoken. Maybe we should stop teaching Spanish, French, English, etc? As long as we have people with warped minds like her, this country will never rid its racist views. Thank you.

Pamela Hall does not represent the majority of the American views, only those that come from the redneck towns of US. By allowing the schools to teach Arabic only better assimilates thier culture and ours. Pamela must be a right-wing republican with an extremist agenda. Thanks to people like her, our civil rights are being taken away and giving the government more say as what we can do and say. We should have a “Stop the Pamela Hall Community Coalition” instead.

I agree with John Miller, but I’ll take it one step further, we should have a Stop Pamela Hall’s babbling mouth from putting scare tactics into those People who have simple dualistic minds. Does studying Arabic language marginalizes women’s rights? The answer to that is NO!

Khalil Gibran, (the philosopher the school named after) is a Lebanese Christian Meronite person.
He and his literature has nothing to do with neither such a school set up by Islamic fundamentalists nor any Arabic culture – if there is any.
The founders of such a “Madrassa” used his name as a cover up for their intentions. The same way a Mohamed becomes “Mo” and “Mike” when he is in the USA or Canada. If those Islamists are against the west, why do they come and live in the western countries and become “negative” citizens with no loyalty!!!???
As a Lebanese, I ask the entire world to understand that we are not what those terrorists are, neither have we agreed with what they use our symbols, names and heritage for and do not stand for their intentions.
We are against them and we had, have and still fighting them in Lebanon to set our country free, independent and sovereign of such Arabic uncivilized monsters.
