Interview With Dr. Tawfik Hamid

June 30, 2007 by alwaysonwatch | 910 Group, USA | 11:27:06 | Comments [0] |

On Friday, June 29, 2007, I attended a lecture given by Dr. Tawfik Hamid at the Ethics and Public Policy Center (www.eppc.org). The lecture was entitled “Radicalization of Young Muslims.” Following the lecture, I got up my nerve and asked Dr. Hamid if he would be willing to be interviewed on The Gathering Storm Radio Show. He graciously agreed! The interview is HERE.

I also managed to get another interview for that same broadcast: Clare M. Lopez of The Intelligence Summit. Recently, Ms. Lopez, along with Ambassador Richard Carlson and Colonel Bill Cowan, taped a radio segment called “Danger Zone” for Washington, D.C.’s WMAL (630 AM). The show will air on Sunday, July 1, 2007, and should be available on line after it airs.

I will be posting a review of Dr. Hamid’s lecture in a few days. His strategy to curb the violent practice of Islam centers around using a concept called “the relativity of Koranic verses.”

Bush Administration & Muslim Brotherhood, Together At Last - Bush’s True Legacy to the USA

June 28, 2007 by Christine | 910 Group | 17:44:45 | Comments [4] |

So, the next phase of The Project has started. At last we have bi-partisanship, as the State Department, CIA and Defense Intelligence Agency, and of course the White House, combine forces with Pelosi, Reid and Leahy to bring the Muslim Brotherhood into the USA in full force.

Our government is now officially pro-Islamist and will oppose those of us who oppose the Muslim Brotherhood. The goal of the Muslim Brotherhood is to restore the caliphate and impose sharia law worldwide. Apparently our State Department, CIA, DIA and the White House have accepted this as an inevitable situation. No doubt the individuals involved in this decision figure they, at least, will come out on top.

And that too is described in the Islamist plan.

Will any of the Republican candidates be willing to stand up against this administration’s plan to introduce into all fifty states, our political and civic institutions, our schools and our military, an organization that founded Hamas and that is dedicated to our destruction?

From World Tribune.com, dated June 28, 2007:

U.S. approves contacts with Muslim Brotherhood: ‘Region is going Islam’

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration has been quietly engaging the Muslim Brotherhood movement.Officials said the State Department has approved a policy that would enable U.S. diplomats to meet and coordinate with Brotherhood leaders in Egypt, Iraq, Syria and other Arab states. They said the program would first be restricted to elected officials from the Brotherhood and eventually be extended to their political chiefs.”The region is going Islam,” an official said. “We see this in nearly every country in the Middle East. We either understand it and engage with it or find ourselves completely out of the picture.”
The Brotherhood has been regarded as the inspiration for Muslim movements throughout the Arab world. The organization, founded in Egypt, spread through Saudi financing and has served as the inspiration for Al Qaida.Many Arab countries have banned the Brotherhood. But in Egypt, a party composed of Brotherhood members has won 20 percent of the seats in the National Assembly and plays a major role in domestic policy.In 2007, officials said, the State Department was quietly fostering ties with the Brotherhood. U.S. embassy staffers in Cairo have attended sessions led by parliamentarians from the Brotherhood and invited the Islamists to official receptions.”We respect the laws of this country,” U.S. ambassador to Egypt Francis Ricciardone said. “But, at the same time, we’re ready to establish relations and hold meetings with all the legal political elements in the country.Officials said a U.S. approach toward the Brotherhood was vital in wake of the Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip in late June. They said the policy could encourage what officials have identified as a pro-Western wing of the Palestinian Islamic movement.

The administration policy has been supported by the Democratic-controlled Congress. On April 7, House leaders, including Democratic whip Rep. Steny Hoyer, attended a reception by the U.S. embassy in Cairo that included Brotherhood deputies. The reception took place at the ambassador’s residence.

The State Department has been discussing the new policy with the U.S. intelligence community. On June 20, the department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research convened a meeting with members of the CIA and Defense Intelligence Agency to expand dialogue with the Brotherhood.

The proposal was based on a study by Robert Leiken, a researcher at the Nixon Center. The study, commissioned by the National Intelligence Council, urged the United States to open a formal channel to the Islamic movement.

Such a channel would include formal meetings with Brotherhood leaders throughout the Arab and Islamic world and invite members to study or work in the United States. Officials said the law enforcement community, particularly the FBI, opposes the proposal, concerned that this would facilitate Al Qaida plots to attack the United States.

At the State Department forum, Leiken was opposed by Hillel Fradin, an Islamic expert from the Hudson Institute. Fradkin was said to have argued that engaging the rigidly ideological Brotherhood would dash any hope for reform within political Islam.

“You make them partners,” Zeyno Baran, Fradkin’s colleague at Hudson, told the New York Sun. “They might Islamize the Muslims, but it’s okay because they can think or do what they want as long as they are not violent. That is the misunderstanding and mistake.”

OIC: All rights and freedoms are subject to Shari’ah

June 27, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 21:29:14 | Comments [0] |

In case you are wondering just what sort of organization President Bush is dispatching a special envoy to, you can get a fairly good idea from the group’s Human Rights Declaration:

ARTICLE 24:

All the rights and freedoms stipulated in this Declaration are subject to the Islamic Shari’ah.

ARTICLE 25:

The Islamic Shari’ah is the only source of reference for the explanation or clarification of any of the articles of this Declaration.

In other words there are no human rights outside of Shari’ah law. A law intepreted by unelected religious authorities of a 7th century text which claims to be the unalterable word of God. The OIC wrote their Human Rights Declaration in 1990. Of course there have been many changes in the Muslim world in the past 15 years. So perhaps a more recent declaration should be examined. From the December 7th 2005 Third Session of the Extraordinary Islamic Summit Conference Makkah Al- Murkarramah Declaration:

At this stage, we are consequently called upon to take a pause for a sincere and firm reflection on reforming the Ummah, which is a process that starts with reforming the self by rallying round a common stand based on Almighty Allah’s Holy Quran and the Noble Tradition of His Prophet (PBUH). This reform process should then naturally end in a staunch counteraction of any miscreants who would wantonly work evil sedition, who would misguide and mislead, and would distort the loftiest tenets of our Islamic faith enshrined in its intrinsic call for love, peace, harmony, and the civilized way out. How can they speak and act for such perverted ideas entrenched as they are in ignorance, isolationism, hatred, and blood-letting?

Sounds good right? These must be moderate Muslims looking to exclude the extremists from the Religion of Peace. Maybe not. From the same document:

To Almighty Allah we pray that He may guide us onto the right path, crown our endeavors with success, and bless our lives with abundant prosperity.

“Allah has promised those who believe among you and who have done good deeds that He will surely empower them in the earth just as He did with their predecessors and that He will surely establish for them (therein) their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security (for) they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that—then those indeed are the evil doers.” (Al-Nour 53, True are the Words of Allah).

So just who are the miscreants the OIC seeks to oppose? The Islamist terrorists threatening Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Israel? No, it’s the disbelievers who are the evil doers, which includes you, me, and President Bush.  This is the group to which President Bush is dispatching a Special Envoy to hear their concerns? From the White House Fact Sheet following the Speech this morning:

The Special Envoy Will Represent America’s Views And Values And Work To Demonstrate To The Wider Islamic World Our Interest In Respectful Dialogue And Continued Friendship. The Envoy will maintain formal contact with the OIC Secretariat, the Secretary General, the chairing country, plus other member countries, to follow OIC affairs and activities, understand the views of OIC members and leaders, seek ways for the U.S. and the OIC to cooperate, and seek to promote U.S. views on important policy matters that may come before the OIC.

Will the Special Envoy promote the idea that human rights are not bound by backwards 7th century judicial rulings? That the first duty and alleigance of Muslims must be to their nation and its constitution, and not to some hypothetical Ummah? I’m not hopeful.  The Organization of Islamic Conferences is the Pan-Islamist cover group par excellence. President Bush will find a Mermaid riding on a unicorn over a rainbow before he finds a moderate Muslim at the OIC.

Islamisation of David Keene, American Conservative Union

by Christine | 910 Group | 20:28:12 | Comments [8] |

David Keene, chairman of the American Conservative Union (ACU), has been moving, along with several other paleo-conservatives like Dinesh D’Souza, towards a partnership with Saudi-funded, pro-Hamas institutions. A forewarning was the appointment of Grover Norquist to the ACU board.

A second forewarning was the appointment of Suhail Khan to the ACU board.

Then Tuesday, David Keene joined United for Peace and Justice, the ACLU, the Communist Party-USA, as a speaker in the “Day of Action to Restore Law and Justice” to

“…call on Congress to restore habeas corpus, fix the Military Commissions Act, end torture and rendition and restore our constitutional rights. Activists from all fifty states will gather at Upper Senate Park on June 26, 2007 and deliver tens of thousands of signatures to Congress, urging the restoration of our rights.”

In his day job, Keene is also a managing associate at the Carmen Group, Washington, DC lobbying firm. He is on the lobbying teams representing special interests (corporations, states and associations) in International, Homeland [security], Procurement Solutions, Postal, and Education areas.

And in that day job, David Keene (really productive guy BTW, kudos for his work ethic) represents among other clients, Algeria:

Washington Post: Carmen’s Africa Team Has Its Keystone

July 6, 2006

By Judy Sarasohn

The Carmen Group, which in the past year has made a play for business in Africa and hired strategically to make that happen, has scored a substantial lobbying client — the government of Algeria.

While it might not be in the Indian casino range, the fee is a healthy $25,000 a month, for a total of $300,000 for the one-year term of the contract, according to the Carmen Group’s Foreign Agents Registration Act filing with the Justice Department. The shop also filed a lobby registration with Congress.

And for these fees, the Carmen Group says it will work to strengthen relations between the Algerian and U.S. governments and expand trade, through government relations and “strategic advice.” The Carmen team will brief U.S. policymakers, “project an up-to-date image of Algeria” and promote congressional, public and media support for “Algeria’s legitimate interests and policy goals,” according to the FARA report. The shop will also promote contacts with U.S. business interests.

In a recent interview, David Carmen said there was “no single issue” at this time to lobby on for Algeria, but the shop will be “brand-building” in Washington and working to get more businesses to invest in that nation. Algeria as a client was in the works when the company started to work on building an Africa practice, he said.

David Keene, a managing associate at Carmen and chairman of the American Conservative Union, is responsible for managing the firm’s services for Algeria, according to the contract with Algeria. But also on the team: the aforementioned David Carmen, Gerald Carmen, John Ladd, Constance Berry Newman, William Outhier, Paul Marisa and Charles Williams.

Newman, a former assistant secretary of state for African affairs, was one of those strategic hires earlier this year, as was Williams, former chief of staff to Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) and former president of the US-Nigeria Development Institute in Abuja, Nigeria.

And last month, Michael Lempres, former vice president of the Overseas Private Investment Corp., returned after a hiatus of several years to be managing director of Carmen’s international practice and direct the Africa practice. Earlier, he was director of international affairs for the Justice Department in the administration of George H.W. Bush.

BUT WAIT! There’s more - Imam Keene, presumably representing his new Algerian clients in their PR outreach (and other clients To Be Determined) is tackling that real problem in the US of concern to American Conservative Union members natonwide - Islamophobia!

Received in yesterday’s email:

CONSERVATIVE LEADER TO SPEAK ON ‘ISLAMOPHOBIA’ PANEL - TOP

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 6/26/07) - On Tuesday, July 17, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will host a panel discussion at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., entitled “Attacking Islam: Implications for Social Cohesion and U.S. Relations with the Muslim World.”

The panel will address the increasing anti-Muslim rhetoric within the conservative movement in the United States, focusing on the negative impact of such views on religious tolerance in America and on relations with the Muslim world.

Presenters:

* David Keene, President, American Conservative Union
* Parvez Ahmed, Chairman, Council on American-Islamic Relations

WHEN: Tuesday, July 17, 2007, 9:30 a.m. - 11 p.m.
WHERE: Holeman Lounge, National Press Club, Washington, D.C.

Refreshments will be served. Admission is free but seating is limited and reservations are required. Please RSVP via e-mail to events@cair.com or call .

So here’s the multiple choice question: When David Keene, chairman of the ACU, makes a national effort to accuse the American public of Islamophobia and silence all criticism of Muslim Brotherhood front organizations in the U.S., whom does he represent?

a. Imam David Keene
b. The American Conservative Union members, who probably haven’t a clue this is going on
c. Algeria

d. The Muslim Brotherhood

e. CAIR

f. The new special envoy of the White House to the Organization of Islamic Conferences

g. Hmm, maybe other wealthy countries in the middle east known to have given CAIR $50 million for public relations…

h. All of the above

Member, Slave, Observer - just what does “Special Envoy” mean?

by Christine | 910 Group | 19:10:18 | Comments [0] |

From today’s speech by Bush at the Islamic Center of Washington….

To underscore America’s respect for the Muslim faith here at home, I came to this Center six days after the 9/11 attacks to denounce incidents of prejudice against Muslim Americans. (Applause.) Today I am announcing a new initiative that will improve mutual understanding and cooperation between America and people in predominately Muslim countries.

I will appoint a special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. This is the first time a President has made such an appointment to the OIC. (Applause.) Our special envoy will listen to and learn from representatives from Muslim states and will share with them America’s views and values. This is an opportunity for Americans to demonstrate to Muslim communities our interest in respectful dialogue and continued friendship.

Wikipedia reports that the OIC has an “observer” role (that OIC flag says “Allahu Akbar” of course):

Here’s the question: are we in a “special envoy” category that puts us outside the Members and Observers categories….the only category we could fit in a logical scheme would be countries and territories, where we join Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Central African Republic, Russia, Thailand, the non-recognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and, uh, the USA.

Or is the “special envoy” role a kind of try-out to become a Muslim state (sort of like cub scouts working on our badges….) - or is it that special new, USA-only dhimmitude desk at the State Department?

Just how special is the “special envoy”?

Who gets to be the Representative (and staff) to OIC (and is the U.S.A. now a kinda Muslim state)?

by Christine | 910 Group | 18:11:17 | Comments [1] |

Bush, speaking today at the Islamic Center mosque in Washington DC to celebrate the decades of Wahhabi penetration of U.S. religious, cultural and political institutions, announced that he will appoint a representative to the Organization of Islamic Conferences.

We’ll ignore for the moment the veiled references to involving more groups in US and overseas (presumably the Muslim Brotherhood and its many little brother organizations here in the US…mini-MB’s…).

Here are my questions about the U.S. having a “representative” in the OIC.

First, that’s probably an entire office, not just some guy with a blackberry and a lot of airline miles. We’ll also assume logically that office is in the State Department, until we hear otherwise.

Second, what is the scope of commitment and involvement - and implicit acceptance of a new identity as a “Muslim state” - as a result of our sending a representative?

If we’re sending a representative to the OIC…are we now a member? What is the status of a representative to the OIC and what does it mean about our role vis-à-vis the OIC? We’ve been warned about Eurabia by Bat Ye’or. Welcome to Amerabia.

The Organization of Islamic Conferences has a lot of conferences (listed below): will we be represented at all of them? Who will be the representatives and their staff (look to friends of Suhail Khan, Grover Norquist, David Keene (now of the new joint organization “American Conservative Union-CAIR”), CAIR, MAS, and the attendees at yesterday’s Wilson Center conference for resumes even now burning up the fax machines at the State Dept.). Will our involvement be as transparent and public as, say, inside efforts at passing the Amnesty Bill or establishing the apparatus of the North American Union?

  • Organization of Islamic Conferences
  • Islamic Summit Conference
  • Conference of Foreign Ministers
  • Conference of Information Ministers
  • Conference of Culture Ministers
  • Conference of Tourism Ministers
  • The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the OIC (COMCEC)

Which is the conference to which non-Muslim states send representatives? I’m optimistic that there is one, and he just didn’t go into the details.

But I can’t find it. What I can read in the OIC charter is this:
The Islamic Conference is made up of:

1. the Conference of Kings and Heads of State and Government

2. the Conference of Foreign Ministers, and

3. the General Secretariat and Subsidiary Organs.

ARTICLE VIII

Membership:

The Organization of the Islamic Conference is made up of the States which took part in the Conference of Kings and Heads of State and Government held in Rabat and the two Foreign Ministers’ Conferences held in Jeddah and Karachi, and signatory to the present Charter. Every Muslim State is eligible to join the Islamic Conference on submitting an application expressing its desire and preparedness to adopt this Charter. The application shall be deposited with the General Secretariat, to be brought before the Foreign Ministers’ Conference at its first meeting after the submission of the application. Membership shall take effect as of the time of approval of the Conference by a two-third majority of the Conference members.

Are we now therefore, by default, a muslim state (well, that would explain why we didn’t send a representative before….)? Will we be financing the OIC?

ARTICLE VII
Finance:

· All expenses on the administration and activities of the Secretariat shall be borne by Member States proportionate to their national incomes.

· The Secretariat shall administer its financial affairs according to the rules of procedure approved by the Conference of Foreign Ministers.

· A Standing Financial Committee shall be set up by the Conference from the accredited representatives of the participating States, and shall meet at the Headquarters of the General Secretariat. This Committee shall in conjunction with the Secretary General, prepare and supervise the budget of the General Secretariat in accordance with the regulations approved by the Conference of Foreign Ministers.

Let’s be optimistic. Say we’re just sending a representative, not participating as an equal Muslim state but as some other category. What is that other category? Are we sending a Dhimmi representative as an inferior state (by definition of the Koran, if we are not a Muslim state)?

What, exactly, will be the portfolio of the Dhimmitude Desk in the State Department?

Violent Islamist Extremism: Senate Homeland Security Committee Hearing today

by Christine | 910 Group | 17:15:14 | Comments [0] |

Conservative Beach Girl, a founding member of the Center for Vigilant Freedom and one of the best dot-connector analysts out there, lists some key questions for the Senators hearing testimony today from that Woodrow Wilson Center of Disinformation conference yesterday (see below for more posts on this breaking news):

Today, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs will continue its hearings to “examine violent Islamist extremism, focusing on the European experience.” They must begin to see this violent Islamist extremism from our “American experience” and accept that the “enemy” is within the gates, gnawing at our will bit-by-bit. Please encourage your Senator to look at the very real Twenty-Year Plan: Islam Targets America. [Note to my friends in Europe, Finland, England, et al: I suspect this Twenty Year Plan applies to you as well.]

You and your Senator can see the very real plan to replace our pluralistic, secular democratic republic with Islamic Law, Sharia Law. This is serious.

One of the reasons I have been so consistent in my opposition to S.1639, Unaccompanied Alien Child Protection Act of 2007 (a.k.a. - Immigration Bill), is because the bill makes provisions for about 12 to 20,000 terrorists (who have over-stayed legal visas or have crossed the border with Mexican nationals) to gain their own “pathway to citizenship” and to furthering the implementation of the “Twenty Year Plan” through intimidation - actual attacks or the threat of attacks.

S.1639 which is being rammed down our throats actually helps advance the violent Islamists’ aims by importing through visas the very people who will over-stay a visa and, potentially implement violence against our nation (Can anyone say, Mohammed Atta? And one of the terrorist hijackers received a visa after he had killed himself along with 3,000 Americans.). Additionally, to add insult to injury, many “other-than-Mexicans” may well receive legal status and be about their way sowing fear among us. We don’t need more enemies.

I ask you to please read the following questions and add ones of your own. Contact your Senator on the committee or your Senator who may get reports from the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Our lives do depend upon us “waking up” to this real threat to our way of life, right here in America.

11:30 a.m.
Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs

Coleman, Norm (MN)

Domenici, Pete V. (NM)
Warner, John (VA)
Sununu, John E. (NH)

Some questions and the reasons when not clearly obvious from the question:

Today the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs will hold hearings regarding the increase of Muslim organizations into our government agencies either through “funding” in the form of grants from US tax dollars or witnesses will recommend increased inclusion of Muslim organizations into integral relationships with government. Please see Twenty-Year Plan: Islam Targets America. The Twenty-Year Plan explains the strategy clearly with no room for misunderstanding.

Should we use the tax dollars of American citizens to fund terrorist front groups and to hasten our fall into Islamic Law, the ending of our freedoms and the suppression of our women?

The witnesses scheduled for today are: Martin and Kathwari.

Our Senators need to work toward increasing the awareness of the Senate at large and the American people of the threat posed by violent Islamist extremism and the men who “carry the water” for them. These are dangerous times.

Would America, in days gone by, give money to Hitler’s government to fund the Hitler Youth Program? An estimated 26% of Muslim youth in America believe that suicide bombing is an acceptable and honorable method to inflict upon their fellow American citizens in order to inflict change. These young men are getting encouraged to accept this. Who’s teaching them such treachery?

1. Most of the groups who helped author the report, which recommended huge increases in grants and support for all Muslim organizations, are also likely to receive those future grants.

Question: Why would the witnesses lend their reputations to such an obvious conflict of interest and violation of common sense ethics?

Question: How much were the witnesses paid to produce the report, conduct the task force project or otherwise involve themselves in this project over 18 months? Who paid them? What were the sources of the money?

[Note: The Muslim Islamists among us want us to fund our own demise. Of course they do.]

2. Congressional investigations, executive agency reports and investigative journalists have repeatedly exposed the tens of millions of dollars going to Muslim American associations from Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other Islamic states to expand their lobbying and PR machines. [Remember a former Senator and a former Secretary of State lobbying for the Dubai Ports Deal?]

Question: Can these witnesses cite instances where Christian, Jewish, Bahai or Hindu groups in these Islamic states have been permitted equal rights to lobby those governments, practice their religions, or in fact gathered in any religious expression without being jailed?

Question: Have they personally ever asked for equal treatment of other religions in the countries which are sending tens of millions of dollars to American Muslim groups to ask for special accommodations in the US, superior to the rights of other religions?

3. Question: Have they now or in the past received any payments as agents of a foreign power to represent any of the Islamic countries sending tens of millions of dollars to the Islamist lobby? Have they or any group with which they are affiliated received any grants or contracts from a foreign power? Are they registered as an agent of a foreign power? If not, why not, if they are representing the interests of foreign powers such as Saudi clerics and the Muslim Brotherhood?

4. Their report includes task force members whose organizations, such as CAIR, are associated with terrorist groups such as Hamas.

Question: Do the witnesses themselves specifically support Hamas, Hezbollah, or the Muslim Brotherhood? Have they had any communications, or received any payments from Hamas, Hezbollah, or any groups in the US or elsewhere associated with the Muslim Brotherhood? Do they anticipate, after publishing their report and testifying before this committee, to receive future payments from such organizations?

5. The Task force members include members of two associations - CAIR and ISNA - who are named as un-indicted co-conspirators by federal prosecutors in the Holy Land investigation starting in Dallas Texas on July 16, Holy Land Foundation Investigation.

CAIR is a spin-off of the defunct Islamic Association for Palestine, launched by Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook and former university professor Sami al-Arian, who pleaded guilty last year to conspiracy to provide services to Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Several CAIR staffers have been convicted on terrorism-related charges, and CAIR founder Omar Ahmad allegedly told a group of Muslims they are in America not to assimilate but to help assert Islam’s rule over the country.

Yet the witnesses’ report, in the section on national security, states “Public statements by senior officials acknowledging the significance of Muslim American contributions to national security and emphasizing the importance of not holding any group accountable for the actions of a few would help build public acceptance and understanding of the community.”

Question: Is it your position that groups such as CAIR and ISNA should not be held accountable for their affiliation with terrorist groups such as Hamas and their refusal to disavow Hamas by name?
~~~~~~~~~
Please contact your Senator.
Everything is of a piece and that piece is the radical transformation of the United States from a democratic republic to an ever increasingly servant of Islam. The manner of domination from Islamists can take many forms, some so subtle we won’t even recognize they have occurred such as the foot-washing stations at airports and in universities on “religious” grounds; the already-attempted covering of a Muslim woman’s face for a driver’s license; the inclusion of prayer rooms in public schools; requests for food acceptable to Muslim children in schools to replace good old American staples such as the hotdog. Some more apparent through our deference to the United Nations - never a fan of the United States of America.
Please become informed if you are not already. Our very way of life depends upon you being informed and taking non-violent action.
Thank you for taking your time to read this long post. God bless the United States of America and its people who make it strong.
Bush Wrong to Celebrate Fifty Years of Wahhabi Penetration of America
by Christine | 910 Group | 16:22:19 | Comments [0] |
From the Center for Security Policy, sent out moments ago concerning the Bush speech to the Islamic Center in Washington DC starting in 1 hour:
DON’T GO THERE’: BUSH WRONG TO CELEBRATE FIFTY YEARS OF WAHHABI PENETRATION OF AMERICA
(Washington, D.C.): This morning, President George Bush will visit the Washington Islamic Center to mark its fiftieth anniversary – an important moment in Saudi Arabia’s effort to promote dawa in America: the inculcation of Islam in this country and the domination of the Muslim faith by the Saudis’ totalitarian Wahhabi cult. The President’s visit is but the latest example of his Administration’s cluelessness with respect to the nature of the enemy we are confronting in this War for the Free World, and its repeated legitimation of that enemy’s organizational infrastructure and agents of influence here and abroad.
The Saudis in America
Today’s visit will mark a return for Mr. Bush to the Saudi-financed Islamic Center on Massachusetts Avenue. The first occurred on September 17, 2001, within a week of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. On that occasion, the President met with a number of those who, thanks largely to funding and other help from Saudi Arabia, have become self-appointed “leaders” of the Muslim community in America.
At the time, Mr. Bush parroted themes being promoted by his hosts at the Washington mosque: “The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don’t represent peace. They represent evil and war.”
In fact, Islam as practiced by the Wahhabis is not about “peace.” It is a political ideology that is perfectly prepared to use violent means to accomplish its ends of global Islamic rule.
The Saudi Agenda: ‘Dissociation’ from the ‘Unbelievers’
The true face of the Saudi agenda was laid bare in January 2005 when the Center for Religious Freedom, at the time associated with Freedom House and currently housed at the Hudson Institute, published a report on hate literature distributed to mosques all over America by the embassy of Saudi Arabia and its agents. One of several collected from the Washington Islamic Center was entitled, Loyalty and Dissociation in Islam (http://www.hudson.org/files/publications/SaudiPropoganda.pdf) had the following illuminating quotes:
· “To be dissociated from the infidels is to hate them for their religion, to leave them, never to rely on them for support, not to admire them, to be on one’s guard against them, never to imitate them, and to always oppose them in every way according to Islamic law.”
· “Those who reside in the land of unbelief [i.e., non-Muslim societies] out of their own choice and desire to be with the people of that land, accepting the way they are regarding their faith, or giving compliments to them, or pleasing them by pointing out something wrong with the Muslims, they become unbelievers and enemies to Allah and his messenger.”
· “There is consensus on this matter, that whoever helps unbelievers against Muslims, regardless of what type of support he lends to them, he is an unbeliever himself.”
According to the Center for Religious Freedom study, Loyalty and Dissociation in Islam was not only “published by the Ibn Taymiya Library in Riyadh.” It was “distributed by the King Fahd-supported Islamic Center of Washington, D.C.”
Very Different Feelings
The last time Mr. Bush visited Washington’s Islamic Center, he felt moved to declare, “It is my honor to be meeting with leaders who feel just the same way I do. They’re outraged, they’re sad. They love America just as much as I do.”
In fact, organizations like those whose leaders he met on that occasion typically have received money from, or are otherwise tied to, Saudi Arabia. Groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Muslim Students Association (MSA), the Islamic Free Market Institute (II) and the Muslim American Society (MAS) have, nonetheless, been afforded opportunities at such settings to: obtain legitimacy by meeting with the President and/or other senior officials; secure access to and influence with various U.S. government agencies; and achieve strategic penetrations by securing employment for their associates and/or the implicit, if not explicit, endorsement of their agendas.
Embracing the Brotherhood?
At the moment, the Bush Administration is reportedly poised greatly to compound this ominous behavior by formally embracing the entity behind much of the Islamist ideological infrastructure now operating in the West: the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). The Brotherhood represents a classic totalitarian bait-and-switch. By virtue of its avowed renunciation of violence, State Department bureaucrats, think tank denizens (e.g., the Nixon Center’s Robert Leiken and Steven Brooke, authors of “The Moderate Muslim Brotherhood” in the March/April edition of Foreign Affairs) and some politicians (notably, Rep. Steny Hoyer who met last April with MB parliamentarians in Egypt) think the Brotherhood are people with whom we can do business against the “terrorists.”
This is a wholly unwarranted leap of faith, taken at our extreme peril. As Zeyno Baran pointed out in an article entitled “O Brotherhood, What Art Thou? Don’t Mistake Islamic Extremists for Moderates” in the April 23, 2007 edition of the Weekly Standard
(http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/013/524odzuf.asp), the MB’s motto is: “Allah is our objective, the Prophet is our leader, the Koran is our law, jihad is our way, dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” So much for moderation. So much for an authentic alternative – let alone an antidote – to the Saudis’ other variant of Islamofascism: Wahhabism.
Meanwhile, Elsewhere in Washington
Two other events suggest how successful the Muslim Brotherhood bait-and-switch is becoming:
First, the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations/Council on Global Affairs unveiled yesterday at a Woodrow Wilson Center-sponsored event the report of what amounts to a Brotherhood-dominated Task Force on the Political and Civic Integration of Muslims-Americans. Led by Farooq Kathwari, chairman of Ethan Allen Interiors Inc., and former Secretary of Labor and congresswoman, Lynn Martin, this group of thirty-two Muslim and non-Muslim “leaders” published a study (http://www.thechicagocouncil.org/taskforce_details.php?taskforce_id=8) that suggests that there is simply no connection between terror and tyranny, on the one hand, and Islam as practiced by the Saudis and other Islamofascists, on the other. It is all a misperception.
More insidious is the fact that this transparent whitewash of Islamists in America makes no mention of the fact that many of the groups and individuals listed as reliable go-to sources on Muslim-related matters seek to apply Islamic law in America. Strikingly, the word Shari’a – the Islamist religious code whose ruthlessly repressive nature has been the hallmark of Saudi, Iranian and Taliban mullahocracies – is entirely absent from the Task Force report. In fact, “Islamic law” appears to have been mentioned just once, and in a way that can only be described as disinformation:
Muslim leaders and organizations can also underscore their commitment to the constitutionally mandated separation of church and state, a bedrock principle of American democracy. Some Americans are concerned that some Muslims seek to undermine this principle by advocating the application of Islamic law in American society. It is important to reassure Americans that Muslim Americans do not aspire to this.
Second, the leaders of this Task Force, Mr. Kathwari and Secretary Martin, will be given an opportunity to provide such disinformation to the Congress when they testify this morning before Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.
Calibrating the American-Muslim ‘Leadership’
It behooves members of the Committee and, for that matter, President Bush to make the following points in their interactions with interlocutors who appear to be spokespeople and/or apologists for the Muslim Brotherhood, if not the Wahhabis. To be considered – let alone treated as, “mainstream” – American Muslims must:
· Explicitly and without reservation reject the goals and actions of terrorist groups, not just generically but by name. This would include such organizations as Hamas and Hezbollah and the legitimacy of suicide bombing.
· Support efforts by the United States government to detect, monitor and counteract domestic financing of terrorists, as opposed to the reflexive criticism to which they are routinely subjected by most of the Muslim-American “establishment.”
· Embrace America as a pluralistic, democratic society in which the separation of church and state is a founding principle.
· Cease claims to the effect that there is an American “war against Islam,” widespread “Islamophobia” and other assertions that encourage a sense of victimization and grievance among Muslims, here and abroad.
· Recognize that there are, in fact, grounds to describe “Islamic extremism” as a threat, that some Islamic mosques, madrassas and centers in this country and overseas have been sources of terrorist activity and that acknowledging these realities is neither a racist or bigoted act.
· Stop abetting or otherwise legitimating those who demonize Israel and depict it as a cancer that must be eradicated.
· Desist from the practice of discouraging their followers not to cooperate with the FBI, and, instead, to cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities trying to keep us all safe.
· Reject the ideology and agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood – which is, after all, the antecedent of al Qaeda and Hamas – on the grounds that it embraces a form of totalitarian Islamist ideology that must be condemned, defeated and deligitimized.
The Bottom Line
Should the President and the Congress insist upon such steps, a failure by American Muslims to adopt them will clarify the situation significantly. The conclusion will be unmistakable: Those who refuse to embrace these principles are part of the problem, not the solution, in this War for the Free World. They must be eschewed hereafter in favor of dealings with truly moderate Muslims who are with us and against the Islamists in that struggle – be they of the Wahhabi or Muslim Brotherhood varieties.
Sir, Have You No Shame?
President Bush has been seduced by the dark side of the Force.
That’s the only explanation I can think of.
Washington Islamic CenterHe will speak tomorrow at the Washington Islamic Center, the most prominent Saudi-funded mosque in Washington DC. Not to mince words, it’s a Wahhabist mosque.
The speech is at 11:30 AM, so time is short.
Dymphna posted on this topic earlier this afternoon, in an open letter to the President.
Bloggers: we need to blog on this, and have our readers light up the phones at the White House tonight and tomorrow.
Readers: see the contact info at the bottom of this post. The important phone numbers are 202-456-1414 (voice) and 202-456-2461 (fax).
The Administration claims to want to shut down terrorist groups. The groups represented at the President’s speech include CAIR, MPAC, ISNA, etc., which are known cover groups and fronts for the architects and funding sources of the Muslim Brotherhood and related Islamic terror groups. The President must state his firm commitment to shutting down these terror groups.
The President must make the point that Islam as it is practiced by many of these groups is not a religion, but a political ideology which seeks to dominate the rest of us by force.
The groups invited to and/or sponsoring this event must disavow Hamas, Hizbullah, etc. specifically and by name and not just utter generalized mealy-mouthed condemnations of “all kinds of terrorism”. Those who will not join in such a denunciation are de facto apologists and supporters of the jihad groups.
The leaders of these groups have not addressed the criminal and immoral attacks on civilians by Islamic suicide bombers and terrorists. This must change. They must publicly and clearly denounce these attacks as unacceptable and un-Islamic.
Any effort to implement the above changes is routinely denounced as “racism” and “Islamophobia”. The President must make clear that opposing political Islam is not any of these things; it is an honorable, patriotic, and morally justified enterprise in defense of human liberty.
These groups must be compelled to acknowledge that extremist and violent Islam is a real, widespread, and serious problem, and not just a figment of the “infidel” imagination. They must be seen publicly to join in the movement to denounce and resist it.
The Islamic groups which encourage their followers not to cooperate with the police, the FBI, and other law-enforcement agencies are not just being unhelpful, they are breaking the law.
The groups involved in this event have routinely denounced the “Zionist lobby”. It should be stated explicitly that this is an unacceptable attack on the pluralism of American society.
The focus on Israel as the putative cause of all Islamic violence must stop.
We call on President Bush to state publicly and forcefully that the Muslim Brotherhood, which is behind many of these “charities” and lobbying groups, is a dangerous, violent, and subversive entity which threatens the security of the United States and the entire Western world. It must be delegitimized and put beyond the pale of acceptable social action.
Do U.S Policies Fuel Islamophobia?
June 26, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 21:51:50 | Comments [0] |
That’s the question the unindicted co-conspirators at the Council on American Islamic Relations will be asking at a panel discussion to be held in the Dallas-Fort Worth area next week. Why do I have a feeling that CAIR already has a ready made opinion on the issue? from their press release:
The Dallas event, entitled “Do U.S. Policies Fuel Islamophobia?” and hosted by CAIR’s Dallas/Fort Worth chapter (CAIR-DFW), will seek to explain the historical context of the issue and provide resources for gaining a better understanding of the negative impact anti-Muslim bigotry has on American society and on our nation’s interests worldwide. Panelists will also discuss the government’s actions in the case against officials of the closed Texas-based Holy Land Foundation Muslim charity.
I think CAIR knows that people are finally on to their not so-moderate stance. We’d like to have an operative at the event, so Texas volunteers, now’s the time. If at all possible audio or video recordings of the event would be best, but a written report of the discussion would be graciously accepted also.
WHEN: Sunday, July 8, 2007, 1:30-4 p.m.
WHERE:Crowne Plaza Park Central, 7800 Alpha Road, Dallas, Texas
This event in Texas is the sister of a Florida event. From our Newsletter:
CAIR-Florida will be holding a “Symposium” on Islamophobia in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Featuring the following speakers:
Dr. Robert Pape, ‘Why the War on Terrorism is Heading South’
Dr. Mohammed Nimer, Islamophobia Anti-Americanism: An Action Agenda Dr. Aisha Musa, Islam in the popular media: The problem of pseudo-scholarship and misinformation WHERE: Nova Southeastern University, Steele Auditorium in Terry Bldg. 19E, 3301 College Avenue, Ft Lauderdale, FL WHEN: Saturday, June 30, 2007, 2 - 4:30 pm
The Danish Approach
by DKShideler | 910 Group | 02:11:26 | Comments [2] |
The Baron at Gates of Vienna has recently posted a video taken in Denmark featuring the burning of Mohammad in effigy.
(Click image to watch)
The introduction says, roughly, that it is traditional in Denmark to burn an effigy of a witch on St. Hans’ eve (June 23rd) to drive evil from the land and insure a good harvest for the year. It goes on to say that Mohammad’s followers and their ideology represent the greatest evil to the west in our time, and so Mohammad was the suitable choice for the ritual incineration. All in all its a wonderful example of the ”Danish Approach” to infowar, a lesson they learned very well from the Danish Cartoon crisis. Engage in some relatively innocous free speech activity, and than sit back and enjoy the show. When the Islamists overreact, demanding boycotts, and inciting to murder, as they always do, whether its a cartoon, or a knighthood, or an effigy, than more people here in the West realize the simple truth. That a very large number of believers in the Religion of Peace, both residing in the west and abroad, are not terribly peaceful at all. They won’t respond sanely, which would perhaps involve at most a playful backyard barbaque featuring beloved Danish hero Holger Dankse. No it will be full scale Defcon 2 rioting and general mayhem.
So if you thought the Mohammad Cartoons were bad, just wait till the Danes are TRYING to offend you.
CAIR: Dhimmis Not Kow-towing Low Enough
June 25, 2007 by DKShideler | 910 Group | 17:10:06 | Comments [0] |
(H/T from the aptly named No Apology
After a school employee in Monterey, CA asked a muslim girl to remove her head scarf, CAIR went to work. Bowing to pressure, School Principal Sydney Renwick endured a face to face apology to the 13 year old girl because one of his employees was enforcing the rules. But according to Bay Area CAIR, Principal Renwick didn’t do enough bowing and scraping. See, CAIR demands a public apology.
CAIR is requesting a public apology because the student was humiliated in public, according to CAIR spokeswoman Abiya Ahmed.
“A public apology is important not just for this girl, it would offer closure to the family,” Ahmed said.
The no head coverings policy is meant for student safety, and to minimize gang attire according to the school. Perhaps one of No Apology’s commenters says it best:
That [hijab] is nothing more than show of force just like the gang type clothing that is banned.
CAIR-NY 501c3 and IRS - Pushing the Legal Limits on Lobbying
by Christine | 910 Group | 05:48:15 | Comments [6] |
On June 21, CAIR-NY sent out an action alert urging members to lobby the state legislature to make EID-al-Adha and Eid-al-Fitr public holidays within the NY public school system (text below from the alert).
This is part of the ongoing Islamisation of the NY schools, a systematic push that includes creating the Khalil Gibran madrassa in the city (with the aggressive politically correct support of the New York City educational administration). Check in for updates by community organizers working against that madrassa at Stop The Madrassa center.
Not a surprise that CAIR-NY is trying to Islamify their state - except CAIR-NY is a 501c3 organization, and therefore EXTREMELY limited in how much lobbying it can legally pursue under IRS regulations. Where is the IRS enforcement for possible violations of 501c3 non profit status by the state CAIR organizations and other Islamist groups? And this may be only the tip of the iceberg of violations of IRS regulations forbidding grassroots lobbying by Islamist 501c3s - and even more prevalent, violations because of radical imams encouraging political advocacy and lobbying within mosques across the U.S.A. It is time for Congressional hearings to discover if there are consistent patterns of Islamist organizations flouting U.S. tax laws.
As evidence of CAIR NY 501c3 status (and some interesting info on revenues, expenses and directors) here are the IRS 990 forms for CAIR NY from 2000 - 2005:
U.S. Aid To Saudi
June 24, 2007 by alwaysonwatch | 910 Group, USA | 15:55:28 | Comments [3] |
The House has the right idea. Will the Senate and the President fall into line?
From this article:
WASHINGTON, June 22 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives voted on Friday to prohibit any aid to Saudi Arabia as lawmakers accused the close ally of religious intolerance and bankrolling terrorist organizations.The prohibition, reflecting persistent tensions with the kingdom after the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States in 2001, was attached to a foreign aid funding bill for next year that has not yet been debated by the Senate.It also faces a veto threat from the White House because of an unrelated provision.
[…]
In the past three years, Congress has passed bills to stop the relatively small amount of U.S. aid to Saudi Arabia, only to see the Bush administration circumvent the prohibitions.
Read it all.
Any aid to Saudi is too much in my opinion.  That nation is rolling in oil dollars.
Find out how your Representative voted.  Put pressure on your Senators to vote to stop sending any U.S. aid to Saudi.
The “War Amongst The People”
by Christine | 910 Group | 05:56:46 | Comments [0] |
Useful, clear piece on how the war we fight here in the U.S. and abroad is a “war amongst the people” - over at Small Wars Journal, which often is worth your time: “New Paradigms for 21st Century Conflict,” by David J. Kilcullen:
From more or less the middle of the piece:
Develop a new lexicon: Professor Michael Vlahos has pointed out that the language we use to describe the new threats actively hinders innovative thought.(6) Our terms draw on negative formulations; they say what the environment is not, rather than what it is. These terms include descriptors like unconventional, nonstate, nontraditional, unorthodox, and irregular. Terminology undoubtedly influences our ability to think clearly. One reason why planners in Iraq may have treated “major combat operations” (Phase III) as decisive, not realizing that in this case the post-conflict phase would actually be critical, is that Phase III is decisive by definition. Its full doctrinal name is “Phase III—Decisive Operations.” To think clearly about new threats, we need a new lexicon based on the actual, observed characteristics of real enemies who:
a. Integrate terrorism, subversion, humanitarian work, and insurgency to support propaganda designed to manipulate the perceptions of local and global audiences.
b. Aggregate the effects of a very large number of grassroots actors, scattered across many countries, into a mass movement greater than the sum of its parts, with dispersed leadership and planning functions that deny us detectable targets.
c. Exploit the speed and ubiquity of modern communications media to mobilize supporters and sympathizers, at speeds far greater than governments can muster.
d. Exploit deep-seated belief systems founded in religious, ethnic, tribal, or cultural identity, to create extremely lethal, nonrational reactions among social groups.
e. Exploit safe havens such as ungoverned or undergoverned areas (in physical or cyber space); ideological, religious, or cultural blind spots; or legal loopholes.
f. Use high-profile symbolic attacks that provoke nation-states into overreactions that damage their long-term interests.
g. Mount numerous, cheap, small-scale challenges to exhaust us by provoking expensive containment, prevention, and response efforts in dozens of remote areas.
These features of the new environment could generate a lexicon to better describe the threat. Since the new threats are not state-based, the basis for our approach should not be international relations (the study of how nation-states interact in elite state-based frameworks) but anthropology (the study of social roles, groups, status, institutions, and relations within human population groups, in nonelite, nonstate-based frameworks).
Definitely go read the whole thing.
This advice is immediately applicable to activities of many groups - from U.S. forces to citizen groups here in the USA :
5. Develop a capacity for strategic information warfare: Al-Qaida is highly skilled at exploiting multiple, diverse actions by individuals and groups, by framing them in a propaganda narrative to manipulate local and global audiences. Al-Qaida maintains a network that collects information about the debate in the West and feeds this, along with an assessment of the effectiveness of al-Qaida’s propaganda, to its leaders. They use physical operations (bombings, insurgent activity, beheadings) as supporting material for an integrated “armed propaganda” campaign. The “information” side of al-Qaida’s operation is primary; the physical is merely the tool to achieve a propaganda result. The Taliban, GSPC (previously, the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat, now known as al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb), and some other al-Qaida-aligned groups, as well as Hezbollah, adopt similar approaches.
Contrast this with our approach: We typically design physical operations first, then craft supporting information operations to explain our actions. This is the reverse of al-Qaida’s approach. For all our professionalism, compared to the enemy’s, our public information is an afterthought. In military terms, for al-Qaida the “main effort” is information; for us, information is a “supporting effort.” As noted, there are 1.68 million people in the U.S. military, and what they do speaks louder than what our public information professionals (who number in the hundreds) say. Thus, to combat extremist propaganda, we need a capacity for strategic information warfare—an integrating function that draws together all components of what we say and what we do to send strategic messages that support our overall policy…..
……We need an interagency effort, with leadership from the very top in the executive and legislative branches of government, to create capabilities, organizations, and doctrine for a national-level strategic information campaign. Building such a capability is perhaps the most important of our many capability challenges in this new era of information-driven conflict.
But if we can’t get that kind of interagency effort - pigs will fly first - we can create it from the bottom up with groups like Vigilant Freedom, United American Committee, Gathering of Eagles, The David Project, counterjihad think tanks, networks of bloggers and individual concerned citizens… The private sector citizenry has taken on the task of building our capability for international information campaigns.  Brick by brick.
Money, Marriage, and Mosques or Why the Does MSM Keep Getting Scooped?
by DKShideler | 910 Group | 03:21:47 | Comments [0] |
As Federal Prosecutors in Texas continue to lay out the case against the Holy Land Foundation and its connection to HAMAS, (The case in which CAIR finds itself an unindicted co-conspirator), evidence of another terror connection involving CAIR, this one to Al Qaeda, and the 9/11 hijackings, is being revealed as well, says Paul Sperry at Frontpage Magazine.
The Holy Land Foundation terror case has already touched the top Muslim lobby in Washington — the Council on American-Islamic Relations — which U.S. prosecutors recently named as an unindicted co-conspirator.
A former senior CAIR official is among five indicted figures in the major terror-funding case. It turns out he is related by marriage to a key suspect in the conspiracy — a radical Muslim cleric and activist who authorities have linked to al-Qaida.
In fact, they say the cleric is closely connected to the spiritual adviser to the 9/11 hijackers.
Federal investigators have learned that imam Mohammed El-Mezain — who goes on trial next month with one of CAIR’s founding board members — once lived in the same small Colorado apartment complex with another imam accused of preparing some of the hijackers for their “martyrdom” operation.
El-Mezain and imam Anwar Aulaqi later moved to San Diego, where Aulaqi held closed-door meetings with the al-Qaida hijackers. The two radical clerics also organized pilgrimages to Mecca together, including one made just months before the 9/11 attacks.
Since the old days of Watergate the old adage of the press has been, “Follow the money.” But investigative journalism by accounts just won’t cut it in the shadowy underworld of the Islamists. Of course there is money aplenty, as Perry details:
“Those contributors to HLF [Holy Land Foundation] who knew the leaders of Hamas or HLF — and at least some of those who did not — contributed their money to support suicide bombings and terrorism conducted by Hamas,” charges David Kane, senior special agent with the U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement within the Department of Homeland Security.
But the money trail doesn’t tell the whole story. Along with following the money, investigators have to eye whose related to whom, as well as whose attending what mosque.
Before his recent arrest, El-Mezain headed the San Diego office of alleged Hamas front Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development and, like Aulaqi, served as a leader in local mosques there. Aulaqi preached in a San Diego mosque for four years before moving in January 2001 to Falls Church, Va., to lead prayers at Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, the largest mosque in the Washington, D.C., area.
There is more to the connection. El-Mezain is a cousin of Mousa Abu Marzook, the political leader of Hamas and a terrorist fugitive. Before Marzook fled the U.S., he lived in Falls Church and attended Dar al-Hijrah.
In early April 2001, after Aulaqi returned from the Saudi hajj trip, two young Saudi men showed up at his Falls Church mosque. One was Nawaf al-Hazmi, the second in command behind the “emir” or leader of the 9/11 operation, Mohamed Atta. The other was Hani Hanjour, the pilot of the plane that hit the Pentagon.
Both had made their way across the U.S. from San Diego, where Aulaqi had previously ministered to Hazmi and another Saudi hijacker in closed-door sessions at his former mosque.
Is it any surprise then that the mainstream press remains woefully under informed as to the width and breadth of the Islamist threat?  Perhaps the blogosphere is better prepared for these types of stories, because of its non-linear approach. Connections are realized for what they are, and not molded into any meta-narratives. That is why the Gates of Vienna, CP and A Jacksonian were years ahead of Fox News’ “Breaking story” on Jamaat-Al-Furqa and the Red House compound. The net is about establishing linkages, the MSM is about storytelling. No blog (no successful blog anyway) pretends that they should be your only outlet for news. Those with the highest traffic often do little more than offer a link and a short comment, and only by connecting the dots does the whole story unfold. This makes the blogosphere highly adapt at the kind of citizens’ open source intelligence work now being done.
Anti-Semitism In The Churches
