Europe’s Black Red Alliance

February 24, 2007 by no.apology | 910 Group | 23:06:21 | Comments [2] |

Note - Unknown to me at the time I began posting this series, Adrian Morgan is also known in the 910 Group Forum as Giraldus Cambrensis. He has graciously given permission to post the final segment of the Black Red Alliance, even though it hasn’t yet been posted at Family Security Matters. Org

Continuing the theme of the unholy alliance of the radical Islamists (redundant, I know) with Secular Leftists (again redundant - sorry), there is a clear pattern of assault on democracies in Europe.

Western Resistance

Europe’s Black Red Alliance: Part 3 of 3

by Adrian Morgan

Last September, French philosopher Robert Redeker wrote: “Islam presents itself, in the image of defunct Communism, as an alternative to the western world. In the manner of Communism before it, Islam, to conquer spirits, plays on a sensitive nerve. It prides itself on a legitimacy which troubles the western conscience, attentive to others: to be the voice of the oppressed of the planet. Yesterday, the voice of the poor claimed to come from Moscow, today it comes from Mecca! Today again, intellectuals express the views of the Koran, as they expressed the views of Moscow yesterday. They excommunicate people for Islamophobia, as yesterday they did for anti-communism.”

A bizarre aspect of many leftist politicians is their desire to make deals with Islamists who would act against all their professed socialist “principles”. On March 11,2004, multiple train bombings at Madrid, carried out by radical Muslims, caused 191 people to die and 1,700 to be injured. Three day later, a general election saw the minority left-wing PSOE or Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party taking the reins of power. This party was led by José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.

ZapateroOne of the hallmarks of democracy is freedom of speech. In February 2006, Muslims around the world protested against freedom of speech, angered by publication of “blasphemous” cartoons of Mohammed. 50 people were killed in the global demonstrations. Yetin March 2006 Zapatero’s government colluded with Pakistan to encourage the UN to enforce an international law prohibiting any kind of blasphemy.Yet in March 2006 Zapatero’s government colluded with Pakistan to encourage the UN to enforce an international law prohibiting any kind of blasphemy.

Back in 1994, Chris Harman, a leading figure in the Socialist Workers Party (SWP), wrote: “The left has made two mistakes in relation to the Islamists in the past. The first has been to write them off as fascists, with whom we have nothing in common. The second has been to see them as ‘progressives’ who must not be criticised. These mistakes have jointly played a part in helping the Islamists to grow at the expense of the left in much of the Middle East. The need is for a different approach that sees Islamism as the product of a deep social crisis which it can do nothing to resolve, and which fights to win some of the young people who support it to a very different, independent, revolutionary socialist perspective.” His party’s uncritical support for Islamism has recently flourished, particularly since the Iraq invasion.

In France, mainstream politicians rarely promote any religious viewpoint due to the traditional separation of Church and State. The current candidate of the Socialist Party for the 2007 elections, Segolene Royal, has even proposed a motion to the National Assembly to reinforce constitutional secularism. The Socialist Party was in power for most of the 1980s, but alienated Muslim voters by failing to deliver social reforms. For the French extreme left, unions with Islamists are not frowned upon. In 2004, a new group called Euro-Palestine was formed from a coalition of members of Lutte Ouvrière (Worker’s Struggle) and Muslim representatives. The latter included anti-semitic Muslim “comedian” anti-semitic Muslim “comedian” Dieudonné M’bala M’bala. Another Trotskyite group in France, similar to the UK’s SWP, is Socialisme Par En Bas (SPEB, or “Socialism from Below”) which had split off from Lutte Ouvri ère. Though small, SPEB has attracted Muslims from the Sorbonne and Jussieu universities. It has led most of the French anti-Iraq War protests.

In 2004 Arlette Laguillere of Lutte Ouvriere said: “the struggle for Palestine” was an integral part of the “global proletarian revolution.” One leftist group based in Italy, Ca mpo Antiimperialista operates in several European nations. Its anti-Iraq War stance has caused it to ally itself with Islamist groups. It supports Palestinian “resistance” and its French members include Serge Thion, a Holocaust denier. In 2003 the European Social Forum (ESF), an annual anti-globalization conference, included several Muslim representatives and groups, including the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Tariq Ramadan. This conference, held in November in Paris, also included Islamist groups Présence Musulmane, Secours Islamique and Collectif des Musulmans de France, inclusions that led to controversy. The fourth ESF conference, held in London in October 2004, similarly included prominent leftists and also Muslim groups such as the Muslim Council of Britain, and the Muslim Association of Britain. It is to be expected that disadvantaged groups will vote for left-wing politicians.

In Norway in 2005, 83% of Muslims voted for socialist parties. In Britain, members of ethnic minorities, including Muslims, have traditionally voted for the Labour Party. Until the election of Tony Blair in 1997 the Labour Party espoused socialist principals. The party still contains radical leftists, and the courting of Muslim groups has continued. The Muslim Council of Britain comprises leaders who have supported bin Laden, but it nonetheless has the ear of government. Intelligence agency MI6 has actively courted the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, as has the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Labour politician Ken Livingstone had been demonized throughout the 1980s by the press as a radical, dubbed “Red Ken”.

Livingstone’s commitment to the working classes is secondary to his commitment to his own self-aggrandizement. Livingstone was expelled from the Labour party on April 4, 2004, over the elections for the new post of London mayor. He had promised not to stand against Labour’s official candidate, but broke his word, standing as an Independent. He
won the election, and in 2004 he was readmitted to the Labour party. He was reelected as London Mayor in the same year. In July 2004, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, visited London. Livingstone welcomed him, even though the sheikh had advocated suicide bombings against Israeli civilians, and recommended that homosexuals should be thrown from cliffs.

In September 2005 Livingstone compared Qaradawi to Pope John XXIII, calling him an “absolutely sane Islamist” and “the most powerfully progressive force for change and for engaging Islam with western values.” Qaradawi, who has a regular slot on Al Jazeera TV, has clearly made his intentions known: “Islam will return to Europe as a conqueror and victor, after being expelled from it twice - once from the South, from Andalusia, and a second time from the East, when it knocked several times on the door of Athens.” He also said on TV: “Islam will return to Europe. Islam entered Europe twice and left it… Perhaps the next conquest, Allah willing, will be by means of preaching and ideology. The conquest need not necessarily be by the sword.”

Livingstone recently spoke at a debate on the “Clash of Civilizations” against Daniel Pipes. Here, Livingstone again spoke in favor of Qaradawi, calling him the “future of Islam”. Red Ken’s choice of supporting speaker was Salma Yaqoob, who is a city councillor in Birmingham. In the debate, she blamed the terror attacks of 7/7 upon British foreign policy, rather than global Islamism. Yaqoob is a member of the Respect Party, which has sought to combine the politics of the Trotskyite Socialist Workers Party with Islamism. Respect’s policies are not favored by all socialists.

Tariq Ali was a famous student activist in the 1960s. He said in 2005: “The Left is at present very weak. As far as the radical Left is concerned I am not optimistic. In Britain I am not a member of Respect. I disagree with them on some points. The way things are happening in Respect is pure opportunism. Obviously I am in favour of working with Muslim groups, but for socialists the goal must be to win followers of religion to our own point of view, not to leave them in their entrenched positions.” Across Britain, Respect has only 20 elected town and city councillors. The only elected member of parliament in the Respect party is one of its founders - George Galloway.October 2003, when he said: “The best thing British troops can do is to refuse to obey illegal orders”. In 2005, he was elected as Respect’s MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, a London constituency with a large Muslim population. He won this election by only 823 votes. While a Labour MP, Galloway had a poor voting record. In early 2006, Galloway upset his Muslim constituents by appearing on a “Big Brother” reality TV show, rather than representing them in parliament. On a visit to Iraq in 1994, Galloway had said to Saddam Hussein: “Sir, I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability.” In a January 23 interview for BBC’s Hardtalk show, Galloway claimed he had praised the “indefatigability” of the Iraqi people, and not Saddam. Galloway admits that he has no chance of getting into power, even though he defends the Respect party as “a radical alternative to the rightward march of New Labour that will speak for millions.” He has a thrice-weekly show on TalkSport Radio, and makes many TV and radio appearances, admitting that he uses these to promote his views. His voting record in parliament is as poor as ever.

Eliza Mannigham-Buller has said: “That threat is serious, is growing and will, I believe, be with us for a generation. It is a sustained campaign, not a series of isolated incidents. It aims to wear down our will to resist.”

Radical Islam And Leftism - The Black Red Alliance: Part One

February 23, 2007 by no.apology | 910 Group | 22:14:53 | Comments [0] |

This is part one of Adrian Morgan’s piece. I posted them out of sequence, in order to give emphasis to the historical perspective of radical Islam.

Western Resistance

by Adrian Morgan

February 20, 2007

In 2004, David Horowitz published Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left, a seminal work based on the author’s 50-year experience of the American Left. Since the book was written, the links between Islam and the left have become stronger, and not just in the United States. The global anti-war movements have naturally forged alliances between leftists and Islamists.

In Britain the anti-war movement has created a political party, the Respect party. This group is headed by the notorious showman, George Galloway, its only elected member of parliament. Founded on January 25, 2004, this party is officially called “Respect - The Unity Coalition”, and grew directly out of the “Stop the War” movement. Respect encourages its members to also belong to other political groups, namely the Socialist Workers Party (SWP), the Muslim Association of Britain and the Muslim Council of Britain.

RidleyThe SWP has always demonized Israel, and their involvement in Respect has led to the new party’s official policy being stauchly anti-Israeli: “We support the call for a boycott of Israeli goods and services, of tourism to Israel, and of academic, sporting and cultural links with Israeli bodies.” One of Respect’s senior figures, Yvonne Ridley (pictured, right), told students at Imperial College in February 2006 that “if there was any Zionism in the Respect Party they would be hunted down and kicked out. We have no time for Zionists.” She described Israel as “that disgusting little watchdog of America that is festering in the Middle East.”

Ridley, a convert to Islam, told Muslims in East London on June 7 2006 that they should stop cooperating with police. Ridley’s bizarre trajectory from Christian Sunday school teacher to Islamist will be discussed in a later article, but her website has a book list, which is compiled “In association with Maktabah on a monthly basis.” Maktabah states on its home page: “Due to unforseen circumstances, we are unable to process any online or telephone orders for approx. 28 days.”

And why should Maktabah be unable to process orders? The Maktabah bookshop in Birmingham was recently raided by anti-terror police, in connection with a plot to kidnap and behead a British Muslim soldier. In 1999, Maktabah published a book on Kashmiri jihad, “The Army of Madinah in Kashmir” written by Esa al-Hindi. Hindi is in fact Dhiren Barot, who on November 7, 2006 was sentenced to 40 years’ jail for plots to attack targets in Britain and the USA.

These targets included the Prudential building in Newark, the Citigroup building in New York and others. In April 2001, Barot had taken video footage of the World Trade Center. As his camera focused on the towers, he turned the camera, so they lay horizontal in the frame of view. In another clip, he again turned the camera on its side when taking a video the World Trade Center, and he can be simultaneously heard making the sound of an explosion.

Yvonne Ridley is no stranger to terrorists. In 2004, she described Abu Hamza al-Masri, the hook-handed cleric as “quite sweet really”. This was before Hamza was jailed for 7 years on February 7, 2006 for inciting murder of Jews, Hindus and non-Muslims. The first of Ridley’s three husbands, Daoud Zaaroura, had been a colonel in the terrorist Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).

The Stop the War Coalition, from which the Respect Party grew, is dominated by leftists. Its “convenor” is Lindsey German (pictured left), who is on the central committee of the SWP and has stood a parliamentary candidate for the Respect Party. She explained in July, 2004 the Stop the War coalition’s approach to Muslims, claiming they were poor victims, who needed her condescending middle class protection: “It should be a badge of honour to those of us on the left that a group of people who face discrimination and victimisation should look to organisations like Stop the War Coalition to help defend them - and that the overwhelming majority of those so politicised do not turn to fundamentalist groups but to socialists, trade unionists and peace campaigners.”

GermanShe complained then that the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) was under attack, along with Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the “spiritual leader” of the Muslim Brotherhood, who has justified terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians. MAB has strong links with the Muslim Brotherhood, being founded in 1997 by Kamal Tawfik el-Helbawy, a member of the Islamist group. Mohammed Kassem Sawalha, a senior member of the MAB, is not only linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, but was a former fundraiser for the terrorist group Hamas.

The Muslim Brotherhood has made deals with leftists in Egypt, the country where it was founded in 1928. In 1987 the Brotherhood forged an alliance with the Socialist Labour Party and the Liberal Socialist Party, called the Labour Islamic Alliance. The Alliance won 60 seats in the Egyptian elections that year, with 37 of these belonging to the Brotherhood’s representatives.

The Muslim Association of Britain, with leaders such as Azzam al-Tamimi support terrorist operations in Israel, is happy to court the left to serve its own political ends. On February 16, the first major Stop the War march took place in London, organized with the help of the Muslim Association of Britain. Though the protesters were complaining about the impending Iraq invasion, which followed a month later, official banners at the march read: “No war on Iraq - freedom for Palestine”.

The notion of Palestinian “victimhood” has been a keystone of leftist and Islamist ideology for more than three decades, coupled with a jealous contempt for America and Israel. The 2004 rally had influential leftists speaking, such as playwright Harold Pinter, who claimed America was “a country run by a bunch of criminal lunatics”.

The Trotskyist Socialist Workers Party has made ridiculous gestures of solidarity with its Muslim affiliates, garnering scorn from Marxist members of the left. At one demonstration outside the Israeli Embassy in London, a white female SWP organizer urged non-Muslim women to cover their heads with scarves, “to show respect” at a demonstration which was “mostly Muslim.”

Three days before 9/11, the SWP published an article which claimed the Taliban made women remain secluded at home “as a means of protecting them. At an anti-war meeting in Birmingham, SWP members bowed down to the bigotry of Muslim members by banning an apostate from Islam from attending. At another anti-war rally at Trafalgar Square, the SWP encouraged segregation of secular men and women, in deference to the Muslims present. This behavior led Marxist Sean Matgamna to describe the SWP as “demoralised Guardian readers with headscarves”.

The theme of the so-called “Black Red Alliance” was discussed by Douglas Davis in the Spectator (also available here). He noted that Spark, journal of the Socialist Labour Party, run by former miner Arthur Scargill, had called Asif Hanif, a young Islamist from Britain’s Al-Muhajiroun group, as a “hero of revolutionary youth”. On April 30, 2003, Hanif had killed 3 Israelis and wounded 60 others in a suicide attack on Mike’s Bar on the Tel Aviv seafront.

Davis noted that in August 2002, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Al Qaeda’s deputy leader, had urged British Muslims to seek alliances among “any movement that opposes America, even atheists.” Abu Hamza had said to his followers: “We say to anyone who hates the Americans and wants to throw the Jews out of Palestine - Ahlan wa Sahlan (welcome). The Prophet teaches that we could ally ourselves even with the atheists if it helps us destroy [the] enemy.”

The union of Islam and the left is celebrated in France by Olivier Besançonneau, leader of the French Trotskyites. He said of Muslims: “Are these not the new slaves? Is it not natural they should unite with the working class to destroy the capitalist system?” The French Communist Party commissioned a study to examine the electoral potential of forging alliances with Muslim groups. Already, leftist French groups such as the Revolutionary Communist League (Ligue Communiste Révolutionnaire) and Workers’ Struggle (Lutte Ouvri ère) have allied themselves with Islamists to gain seats in the European Parliament.

The language of the proponents of the Black Red Alliance is confrontational when dealing with valid criticisms of Islamists and Muslim extremists. The main term used to silence criticism is “Islamophobe”. In Britain, a website has been in existence for more than a year, calling itself Islamophobia-watch. This site is run by two individuals. One is Eddie Truman, who is both a member of Britain’s Communist Party and spokesman of the Scottish Socialist Party. The main writer, who describes critics of Islamist radicalism (myself included) as “right-wing racists” and “Islamophobes”, calls himself Martin Sullivan. His real identity is Bob Pitt, who was formerly secretary of the Workers Revolutionary Party.

Pitt’s rants on this website praise leftists such as Ken Livingstone, who himself exemplifies the stance of the Black Red Alliance. Livingstone’s support for Yusuf al-Qaradawi is mirrored on Islamophobia-watch.

Individually, the parties within the Stop the War Coalition or Respect would stand little chance of getting elected. United, they nonetheless wield political influence. They have also made common cause with other Black Red allies from other countries. In December 2002, before the March 19 invasion of Iraq, a meeting was convened in Egypt which brought international leftists and Islamists to the same table. The meeting resulted in the first Cairo declaration “Against U.S. Hegemony and War on Iraq and In Solidarity with Palestine”. In Decamber 2003, a second Cairo declaration was announced, whose aims included continuing the “pursuance of the struggle to support the unified international front against imperialism and capitalist globalization.”

The naive arguments of these leftists would be risible, were it not for the fact that now, as the Iraq War shows no sign of an imminent conclusion, their views are increasingly being heard. The spokespeople of the Black Red Alliance are edging further into the mainstream politics of both Europe and America.

Cultural Marxism

February 22, 2007 by no.apology | 910 Group | 21:17:31 | Comments [1] |

Assuming I get permission to post articles from American Thinker and Western Resistance, I will be posting information on the history of Cultural Marxism and Islamism. Although others have written excellent essays on these subjects, it is good to keep our perspective fresh and alive with new ideas and new views as we prioritize our goals. The attempt to understand what is oppressing democratic ideals and values as events unfold is reason enough to proceed. Fjordman has given us much as has Bawer, Horowitz, Robert Spencer, and Daniel Pipes, from the non-Muslim perspective; Walid Shoebat, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, and others have given us a more secular view of Islam, and the dangers of Wahhabism as it keeps coming at us in waves.

I think the danger to citizens of western democratic counties is to for us lose the sense of immediacy and urgency of the battle being waged on the world by the radical Islamists. The first article, by Linda Kimball, appeared a week ago in the American Thinker, and it gives us a brief, cogent look at Cultural Marxism, aka Multiculturalism.

As part 2 of the 2-part Series of the Western Resistance articles gives a needed connection, historically between the Cultural Marxists and Radical Islamic expansion through Jihad, I will post them out of order. I make no claim to scholarship when it comes to delving and divining out the problems facing us today. Honestly, having grown up in the 40’s and 50’s, I am almost at a loss to digest what I see. Almost, but not quite. What I am is scared s***less, if not witless at the evil arising (I almost said descending onto) in the world. But I do know one thing: evil arises from within, not from without. It does give me the will to persevere.

(note: I have The American Thinker’s permission to reprint 200 words give or take, so please go to their website to finish reading this article: American Thinker

Cultural Marxism

American Thinker

By Linda Kimball

There are two misconceptions held by many Americans. The first is that communism ceased to be a threat when the Soviet Union imploded. The second is that the New Left of the Sixties collapsed and disappeared as well. “The Sixties are dead,” wrote columnist George Will (”Slamming the Doors,” Newsweek, Mar. 25, 1991)
Because the New Left lacked cohesion it fell apart as a political movement. However, its revolutionaries reorganized themselves into a multitude of single issue groups. Thus we now have for example, radical feminists, black extremists, anti-war ‘peace’ activists, animal rights groups, radical environmentalists, and ‘gay’ rights groups. All of these groups pursue their piece of the radical agenda through a complex network of organizations such as the Gay Straight Lesbian Educators Network (GSLEN), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), People for the American Way, United for Peace and Justice, Planned Parenthood, Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), and Code Pink for Peace.
Both communism and the New Left are alive and thriving here in America. They favor code words: tolerance, social justice, economic justice, peace, reproductive rights, sex education and safe sex, safe schools, inclusion, diversity, and sensitivity. All together, this is Cultural Marxism disguised as multiculturalism.

Radical Islam And The Left - Europe’s Black Red Alliance - Part 2

by Adrian Morgan

In February2002 former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher published an article entitled “Islamism is the new Bolshevism”. In this, she wrote: “Islamic extremism today, like bolshevism in the past, is an armed doctrine. It is an aggressive ideology promoted by fanatical, well-armed devotees. And, like communism, it requires an all-embracing
long-term strategy to defeat it.

Her analogy is both prescient and historically accurate. Many early Bolsheviks made common cause with Islam. The philosopher Bertrand Russell visited Russia in 1920. A year later, his impressions were published in a book, “Theory and Practice of Bolshevism”. He wrote:
Christianity and Buddhism are primarily personal religions, with mystical doctrines and a love of contemplation. Mohammedanism and Bolshevism are practical, social, unspiritual, concerned to win the empire of this world.

Russell also observed: “Bolshevism combines the characteristics of the French Revolution with those of the rise of Islam.” He was naively optimistic about Bolshevism in these years before Stalin’s purges, noting also that: “Marx has taught that Communism is fatally predestined to come about; this produces a state of mind not
unlike that of the early successors of Mahommet.

In 1844, Karl Marx had famously described religion thus: “Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.
Russia’s Bolshevik revolution of 1917 was made by people who revered Marx’s ideology, but Lenin did not initially oppress religious institutions. Until the 1920s the Bolsheviks actively encouraged Islam, which had received no support from the Tsarist regime, state
socialist authors David Crouch and Gerry Byrne.

Crouch wrote an article in late 2003 while his Socialist Workers Party was in the process of wooing political Islam in Britain. Byrne highlights instances of bias in the SWP member’s account, but agrees that Lenin initially approved of a Muslim Communist Party and a Muslim Military College. Sharia courts were allowed to administer cases of domestic law in parallel with secular communist courts, but were prevented from dealing with political cases, or enacting stonings.

Chechnya’s Muslims had supported the Bolsheviks, but others had fought against communism. In the regions of Central Asia, there was dissent. Here the Jadids had grown at the end of the Tsarist regime - Muslims who wished for an enlightened and modernizing cultural renewal of their faith. They initially found Bolshevism attractive as it appeared to conform to their view of Pan-Islamism, which had been promoted by Jamal
al-Din al-Afghani
(1838-1897). During the 1920s the Jadids became split by the Pan-Turkic movements of Central Asia, and groups of traditionalists, known as Basmachi, rebelled against both Jadids and communists.

Under Stalin, in 1927 a policy known as khudshum was introduced, which tried to force onto Muslims the issue of women’s rights and the abolition of the Muslim veil. Many women who had thrown off their veils were subsequently massacred by Muslim traditionalists. There followed campaigns of repression whereby Islam in the Soviet
Empire was forcibly “tamed” to comply with the Stalinist ethos.

In August 1919, Syrian born thinker and supporter of Pan-Islamism, Muhammad
Rashid Rida (1865-1935) had written: “The Muslims wish for the success of the socialists in eliminating the enslavement of the peoples (all of whom are workers), while they reject such of their p ractices - and the practices of everyone else - that violate Islamic
law.
” The Egyptian Mufti of that time, Muhammad Bakhit, had earlier issued a fatwa condemning Bolshevism, a position that Rida, who had studied under Jamal al-Din al-Afghani, did not uphold.

QutbPan-Islamism sought to unite Muslims from around the world, andto bridge the sectarian divides of Sunni and Shia Islam. When the Turkish-based Ottoman Empire was crushed in March 1924, there was no longer any Islamic center of power in the world. In Saudi Arabia, the Wahhabists of the Al-Saud family took control of Mecca in this decade.

In 1928, Hassan al-Banna founded the Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt as a youth group. Though strict and traditionalist, the Saudis welcomed Western oil money. The Muslim Brotherhood soon became political. In the 1950s Sayyid Qutb (right) became the Brotherhood’s spiritual leader, and his books, such as Milestones on the Road
(Ma’alim fi’l-Tariq)
, still influence modern Islamists.

Qutb had become radicalized while on a trip to America, and opposed both Western values and Egyptian President Nasser’s policies of secular Pan-Arabism. Qutb saw jihad as a global movement, not confined to the Middle East. He was also an anti-Semite. Qutb was hanged in 1966, but he was never a traditional “socialist”, despite the Brotherhood’s later associations with socialists in Egypt, Europe and beyond.

Islamic fundamentalism is essentially driven by adherence to scripture, whereas Islamic socialist countries tend to be superficially secular. Herein lies the paradox- why are Western socialists so enamored with Islamic fundamentalism? In common with extreme socialists, extreme Muslims seek to force the dominance of their beliefs upon societies. At the heart of both ideologies is the idea of implementing a form of “retributive justice”, either redressing the evils of consumerism and capitalism, or redressing the evils of infidel godlessness. Both systems believe that a society should be classless, but only Islamists believe the words of a 7th century “prophet” should dictate all aspects of life.

“Islamic socialism”, a term which came into being in the 1960s, is nothing like Western notions of socialism, particularly those which thrive in Europe. Principally, Islamic socialism has to balance religious principles with socialism, which in essence is secular. In
Pakistan, Islamic “socialism” was exemplified by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, founder of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). He was president of Pakistan after Bangladesh’s war of secession from Pakistan until 1973, and then Prime Minister until 1977. After years
of military dictatorship and a civil war, Bhutto’s Islamic socialism was popular among many strands of society.

What finally destroyed Bhutto’s “Islamic socialism” were the two things which had blighted Pakistan since independence - Islamism and military dictatorship. General Zia ul-Haq allied himself with the Islamists of the Jamaat-e-Islami, which had had been formed by Sayyid Abul A’la Maududi (1903-1979) in 1941. Maududi, like Qutb, is one of the founding fathers of modern Islamism. Though members of Jamaat-e-Islami still take part in the democratic process, their aim is to abolish democracy and establish a
theocratic society, based upon sharia law.

Zia introduced the notorious Hudood laws in 1979, which meant that rape victims who could not produce four male Muslim witnesses became charged with adultery, and jailed.
In 1986, Zia introduced Islamic blasphemy laws, which blatantly discriminate against members of the Ahmadiyyah sect of Islam. Article 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code states that anyone who blasphemes against Mohammed can receive the death penalty. In 1990, the Federal Shariat (Islamic) Court ruled that any breach of Article 295-C now merits a mandatory death sentence, with no rights of appeal.

Though his PPP party still exists in Pakistan’s parliamentary system, Ali Bhutto paid the price for trying to unite his country under “Islamic socialism” with its slogan: “Islam is our faith; Democracy is our polity; Socialism is our economy; All power to the people.
He was hanged on the orders of Zia ul-Haq on April 4,1979.

One thing is certain. Political Islam and democracy can never mix. Those in the West who seek alliances with Islamism do so at their own peril. Politically Muslim countries in the modern world have to strike a compromise with Islamist hardliners. Even “moderate” countries such as Indonesia have a constant battle with Islamists who are never
repressed for fear of revolt, and others such as Malaysia have a system based
entirely on racism
. From age 12, all Malays are defined as Muslim, and no Malay is allowed to change their faith, despite a constitution which guarantees religious freedom.

In 1953 in Jerusalem, an Islamist scholar called Taqiuddin al-Nabhani
(1909-1977) instituted Hizb ut-Tahrir, an Islamist political group which now has branches in most Western countries, apart from the Netherlands and Germany, where it is banned. It is banned in Russia, the countries of Central Asia, and all nations in the Middle East. Its aims are to destroy democracies and national boundaries to institute a Caliphate, a
pan-national system of Islamic rule.

RedekerIts open contempt for democracy has not stopped leftist
politicians in Western countries from trying to make alliances with
Hizb-ut Tahrir. In March 2006, Clare Short, MP for Birmingham Ladywood invited members of Hizb to the UK Houses of Parliament. This leftist former member of Tony Blair’s cabinet resisted
all calls
to cancel the event.

Why do Western leftists want to make common cause with Islamists who wish to destroy their democratic societies and subjugate them under sharia law? In part three, I will detail how far the problem has spread, and examine the rationale of these radicals of the left.

Perhaps, as I began with the words of a philosopher, I should finish here with the words of Robert Redeker (above left), a French philosopher, who wrote:
The Westerner, the heir to Christianity, is to be the one to make
his soul exposed. He runs the risk of passing himself off as weak.
With the same ardor as Communism, Islam treats generosity,
broadmindedness, tolerance, gentleness, freedom of women and of
manners, democratic values, as signs of decadence. These are the
weaknesses that it seeks to exploit, by means of ‘useful idiots’,
those of good consciences imbued with fine sentiments, in order to
impose the Koranic order on the Western world itself.

Redeker’s unflinching assessment of Islamism, and the moral poverty of Islam’s founder, caused him to lose his job and his home after receiving Islamist death threats.

“Gilani Lane Is Insane!”
by Baron Bodissey

This evening just after dusk the Christian Action Network organized a demonstration at Charlotte County Courthouse.

Charlotte Court House

They were protesting against the official county approval of a road named for a known terrorist, Sheik Gilani, the founder of the Muslims of America and Jamaat ul-Fuqra.
The event was scheduled just before a Board of Supervisors meeting.

I got there early while it was still light so I could take some photos of the area. Charlotte Courthouse is one of the more beautiful locations in the Commonwealth of Virginia, scenic and historic — the home of Patrick Henry — without being overrun with boutiques and tack shops like a lot of other “old towns” are.

While I was waiting I chatted with a local businesswoman, who said she was appalled by the name “Sheikh Gilani Lane”.

“I’ve got a son in the Navy,” she said. “That’s not what he’s fighting for.”

She wondered why the FBI couldn’t do something about the Red House compound. I reminded her that this is a free country, and that unless someone there did something overtly illegal, there wasn’t much that law enforcement could do. She gave a reluctant assent, but added, “You know, this country is really getting kind of screwed up.”

Martin Mawyer and the media

The Christian Action people gathered at Mimmo’s Restaurant just down the road from the Courthouse to eat and prepare for the demonstration.

The media showed up in full force, and Martin was interviewed a couple of times in front of the restaurant before he could eat his dinner.

The demonstration was not at the Courthouse itself, but just down the road in front of the County Administration Building, since that is where the Board of Supervisors meets.

I got there early, while the TV crews were setting up, and spent some time talking to the counter-demonstrators who were already there in anticipation of the arrival of the Christian Action Network.

The TV people took footage of them while they were waiting.

One lady carried a sign that read, “Have we made our neighbor welcome? Christ says that by this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love for another.”

She told me that she was feeling like a young picketer. I remarked that she didn’t really look like a hippie. She replied that she thought there was a little hippie in her.

The state police were there to make sure no one got out of hand (no one did).

I chatted for a while with a representative of the state police.

When I told him I was a blogger, he asked me which one.

“Gates of Vienna,” I replied.

“You’re with the 910 Group, right?”

“Well… yes, I’m associated with them.”

It turns out that he is a regular Gates of Vienna reader, and has been keeping up with the Jamaat ul-Fuqra news. He had even read today’s post.state trooper

Hooray for the state police!

Christine from the 910 Group was one of the demonstrators, and went over to introduce herself to him.

“Oh, so you’re Christine!” he said. “I know you.”

I had a long discussion with a local Presbyterian minister, whose sign displayed a passage from Ephesians about the neccessity for giving up anger and focusing on love.

He felt that the protest was doing injustice to their peaceful Muslim neighbors. He knows people in the compound; he’s met with them, eaten meals with them, and coached their children. They’re peaceful, decent, people, and the demonstrators have no right to judge them when they don’t even know them.presby

When I confronted him with Sheikh Gilani’s own words, he said that his friends in the compound think the Sheikh was being taken out of context.

Well, consider this, from a recruitment video:

In a videotape obtained by The Washington Times, Sheik Gilani calls on American Muslims to help him form an “international organization.”

“We have reached out and prepared them to defend themselves in a highly specialized training in guerrilla warfare,” he says, referring to two camouflage-clad black men flanking him.

“Life is becoming more hard for Muslims. Therefore, every man and woman will learn to defend himself or herself.”

Must have been some context.

The demonstrators arrived, led by a CAN member dressed as the Statue of Liberty, with another young man leading the chants with a bullhorn.

“Sheikh Gilani out of the county!” and “Gilani Lane is insane!” are two that I remember.

The demonstrators circled the complex several times while the media milled around getting video footage and interviewing people.

dem

Another 910 Group member was interviewed at length while I eavesdropped, and she did an excellent job, speaking very clearly and articulately about the issue of Jamaat ul-Fuqra. You may have seen her if you were watching the 11 pm news on ABC13 out of Lynchburg.

At least one of the demonstrators was a local Charlotte County resident, a six-year veteran of the military who said that he had to come and speak out against the naming of the road.

A final gathering in front of the building, a big round of applause, and then the demonstration broke up.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The Board of Supervisors knew that CAN was coming, and the had hastily rearranged their schedule to meet for a moment at 7:00 pm, adjourn, and reconvene a little later at a local school, where no demonstration would be allowed.

I assume they thought that by this stratagem they could duck all the adverse publicity. But by absenting themselves so thoroughly from the scene, they made sure that Martin’s folks and the 910 Group people got most of the talking-head time on the news, without a single official representative of Charlotte County on camera.

I’m not a media-savvy person, but given the indefensible case they have to try to make, this doesn’t seem to have been a very wise move on their part.

Al-Qaida to target Canadian oil and gas

February 16, 2007 by no.apology | 910 Group | 21:54:49 | Comments [3] |

can-pipelines.jpgBefore the Canadian politicians get all warm and fuzzy over the notion of letting the Muslim immigrants use them for doormats, maybe they should first consider reports like the following:

Calgary Herald
Published: Feb 14, 2007

OTTAWA — Al-Qaida has called for terrorist strikes against Canadian oil and natural gas facilities to “choke the U.S. economy.” An online message, posted Tuesday by the Al-Qaida Organization in the Arabian Peninsula, declares, “we should strike petroleum interests in all areas which supply the United States … like Canada,” the No. 1 exporter of oil and gas to the U.S.

“The biggest party hurt will be the industrial nations, and on top (of) them, the United States.” The same group, the Saudi arm of Osama bin Laden’s terrorist network, claimed responsibility for last February’s attack on the world’s largest oil processing facility at Abqaiq in Saudi Arabia’s eastern province. The attack was foiled when guards at the site opened fire on the terrorists, blowing up their vehicles filled with explosives before they could get through the gates.

The message is contained in Sawt al-Jihad (Voice of Jihad), the group’s online magazine.
A feature article, entitled “Bin Laden’s Oil Weapon,” encourages operatives to continue to follow earlier directives from bin Laden to strike oil targets not only in Saudi Arabia, but elsewhere, according to a translation by the SITE Institute, a non-profit U.S. group that monitors terrorist Web sites. Three western countries are mentioned in the call-to-arms. Canada is listed first, followed by Mexico and Venezuela. Would-be attackers are instructed to specifically target oilfields, pipelines, loading platforms, and carriers.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service said Tuesday it was aware of the posting, as is Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada. “Do we think it’s a serious threat? I can’t get into that,” said CSIS spokeswoman Barbara Campion. Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach said his province is working closely with “the federal government and the American government … to have the most modern tracking system in terms of threat and, of course, monitoring and also surveillance of all the critical infrastructure in Alberta when it comes to oil and gas.

“I didn’t know that Osama bin Laden knows where I am, but infrastructure is critical and that’s where we’ll be protecting it,” Stelmach added. Greg Stringham, vice-president of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, said the threat is similar to a posting made about a year ago, when an al-Qaida- affiliated Internet blog called on Canadian and U.S. jihadists to attack an Alaskan oil pipeline.

The new posting is “not singling out Canada, it specifically mentions Canada, but along with some other countries that are suppliers to the U.S,” he said. “It’s not the first time that it’s happened and we have no credible threat to substantiate it … but still we are taking it seriously and we’ve informed all of our members and contacts about that — especially those with critical infrastructure — to pay extra attention and be vigilant.”

The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board knew about the threat the day it appeared online thanks to information from Canadian intelligence agencies, said spokesman Darin Barter.

The Clash of Civilizations

February 15, 2007 by no.apology | 910 Group | 03:02:21 | Comments [3] |

The Saga Continues…and the pressure to fold will rise. Everyone in Canada (and many I suspect, like myself, in the USA as well) will be watching this one closely. All the players are weighing in. Clearly, this test case will have far-reaching consequences, both for the Quebecers and Muslims alike.

Muslims hope to ‘dispel myths’ in Quebec town

Updated Sun. Feb. 11 2007 11:07 PM ET

A delegation of Muslim women brought pastries and dialogue to a small Quebec town that has adopted a controversial code of conduct apparently aimed at their faith.

“It appears that there’s a misunderstanding — a sort of generalization over many things that we believe is our duty to clear up for them,” May Haidar of the Canadian Islamic Congress told CTV Montreal in Herouxville.

Local officials in the mostly white, French-speaking, Catholic town of Herouxville, northeast of Montreal, adopted a code of conduct for immigrants two weeks ago.

Town councillor Andre Drouin, who wrote the “Community Standards” resolution, said, “We want the whole world to understand we are no kind of racist.” He told CTV Montreal he realizes some of the words used in the resolution are harsh, but he remained resolved over its message.

“The thing that you need to be sure of is that we’re going where we’re going to go. Please give me the right to state who I am, basically,” he said.

Haidar called the resolution a “discriminatory statement. The Charter of Rights gives every individual the freedom to live and act and wear whatever he wants,” she said. The Canadian Islamic Congress (CIC) and Canadian Muslim Forum (CMF) have both decried the statement as “deliberate hate-mongering.” They both say the town council was wrong to publicize a code of conduct that “clearly propagates negative stereotypes of Canadian minorities.” The two groups are considering filing a joint complaint with the Quebec Human Rights Commission. “What we have seen in the Herouxville declaration is symptomatic of a dangerous trend in Quebec and Canada that could set multicultural progress back generations,” the two groups warned in a news release.

The town council will decide whether to reword the next of the resolution at the next town meeting and will make changes if warranted, but Drouin said the list will remain in place.Drouin told CTV News that he has received about 2,000 e-mails of support — 700 more than Herouxville’s population of about 1,300.

Vigorous debate

CTV Montreal reporter Paul Karwatsky said there was a lot of vigorous debate at Sunday’s meeting, but the event was peaceful as the Muslim women tried to bridge their beliefs with town residents and leaders.

“Most of the people who turned up to greet (the women) didn’t know what to expect, so they were pretty reserved at first,” said Karwatsky. “But once most realized that the women were there to simply voice their concerns and explain Islamic culture, most happily listened.” One female resident told CTV Montreal, however, that while the women have every right to visit, “they could have gone to another village.” One man complained about the Muslim womens’ headscarves.

The town’s resolution has stirred into the larger “reasonable accommodation” debate for minorities and immigrants in Quebec. In Montreal, the debate has focused on paid days off granted to Muslim and Jewish school board employees who observe religious holidays.

Quebec Premier Jean Charest, saying the debate has gotten out of hand, launched a formal government commission last week to examine the matter.

Two respected academics, Charles Taylor and Gerard Bouchard (brother of former premier Lucien Bouchard), will have one year to prepare a report. However, Mario Dumont, leader of the Action democratique du Quebec, issued a letter in January saying there should be limits on accommodating minorities. A poll about that time found that about three in five Quebecers admitted to having some racist feelings towards ethnic groups.

Other controversies have erupted in Canada. For example, Ontario decided against allowing sharia law courts for mediating Muslim family disputes. But some observers are taken with the bluntness of the Herouxville code. Errol Mendes of the University of Ottawa thinks it says something about the nation as a whole.

“I think it’s reflective of the fact that Canada is actually fracturing into two nations,” he said. The urban nation where 80 per cent of Canadians live, and the rural parts of Canada which do not have a lot of interaction with immigrants and different cultures.”

Herouxville wants immigrants that fit in with its citizens

Quebec town outlines societal ‘norms’ for would-be immigrants
Dene Moore, The Canadian Press
Published: Monday, January 29, 2007

HEROUXVILLE, Que. — A sign at the entrance of this rural Quebec town says: Herouxville welcomes you. Unless, that is, you plan on stoning a woman to death, sending your kids to school with a kirpan or covering your face other than on Halloween.

The town council of Herouxville, a sleepy town dominated by a towering Roman Catholic church, has adopted a declaration of “norms” that it says would-be immigrants should be aware of before they settle in this town.

“We’re telling people who we are,” said Andre Drouin, one of six town councillors and the driving force behind the declaration passed earlier this month. The small town, near Shawinigan in central Quebec, has only one immigrant family and wants more. But Drouin said the declaration, which was posted on the town’s website and sent to the provincial and federal immigration ministers, is the result of a number of recent culture clashes across the country.

In Montreal, a dispute erupted after the windows of a gym were obscured to block the view of exercising women from the Hasidic Jewish synagogue across the street and swimming pools have been asked for gender-specific swim times to accommodate religious groups. Men were banned from prenatal classes at one Montreal community centre to accommodate Muslim, Sikh and Hindu women and a city police publication came under fire for suggesting female officers should defer to male colleagues when dealing with men from certain religions.

In Toronto, a judge caused an uproar last month by ordering a Christmas tree removed from a courthouse so as not to offend non-Christians. Debate has raged in Quebec in recent weeks about so-called “reasonable accommodation” of ethnic, cultural and religious minorities and a Montreal police officer is facing disciplinary action over a song circulating on the Internet about it.

“I asked myself, `How is it that these people can ask for such things?’ And the only possible answer is that these people do not know who we are,” Drouin said.

According to the five-page declaration, in Herouxville children sing Christmas songs at Christmas and adults can drink alcohol. Immigrants want to be part of Canada, Drouin said, and to do that they need to know what is acceptable and what isn’t. It’s something the federal immigration department has failed to do, he said.

Drouin said the more accommodations made for minorities, the greater the divide.
“One of these days you will have (many divided) groups in Canada and groups in Canada, or groups in any country, doesn’t make a country,” he said.

Premier Jean Charest said Monday that in Quebec men and women are already equal under the law and that Shariah law has been rejected. Quebecers are tolerant, Charest said.

“I think it’s an isolated case,” he said.

B’nai Brith Quebec deemed the declaration “an anti-immigrant, anti-ethnic backlash” and Salam Elmenyawi, head of the Muslim Council of Montreal, called it insulting.

“Why are they picking on Islam and Muslims?” he asked, adding he wonders why the Herouxville council hasn’t weighed in on society’s ills in general.

The declaration is full of stereotypes, he said, adding that his wife can drive a car and Muslim women do have rights. Elmenyawi said Quebec is tolerant overall, but the Herouxville council is “confused and misguided. I can’t imagine Muslims immigrating there,” Elmenyawi said.

But Drouin, who was juggling dozens calls Monday, said the town, which has just one immigrant family among its 1,338 residents, welcomes newcomers.

“We need them and we want them. And we also want them to have made the correct choice for them,” he said. He said the town council has received about 2,000 e-mails, the vast majority supportive. The declaration was the talk of the town, a typical Quebec village stretched out on a country road just north of Shawinigan.

“I’m not a racist but, at a certain point we’re all going to end up that way,” Carole Casabon, one of many local residents who support the declaration, said as she served up some regulars at the Pub 842.

“If we travel abroad, we try to adapt to their way of life. But when they come here, they abide by their own rules.”he central Quebec town.

Premier Jean Charest said today that Quebec is a tolerant society and the town’s resolution is an isolated case.

Quebec is in the middle of a debate about what is considered reasonable accommodation of racial, ethnic and religious minorities.
- The tendency of the Left to ride rough-shod over the Christian Right values is obscene and predictable. It will not be the Muslims who force the cave-in, if that happens, but the Leftists in government who, believing no cultural values are better than others, will tip the scale. IMO. We shall see who prevails.

Daw’ah in Herouxville, Quebec

February 13, 2007 by no.apology | 910 Group | 07:43:08 | Comments [2] |

Note: This visit by the Muslim women is a typical Daw’ah ploy, soon to be followed by a more stern rebuke for the good town of Herouxville. Then off come the gloves, out come the lawyers. And Andre Drouin, the town councillor, looks to be ready for a good fight. This is re:  Feb 3, 2007 post.

  • Muslim women visit Que. town that passed code of ‘norms’.

Canadian Press (National Post)

HEROUXVILLE, Que. —

Clad in traditional Islamic head scarves, a delegation of Muslim women paid a visit Sunday to the Quebec town that passed a controversial code aimed at potential immigrants.
Six women, accompanied by a handful of male and female Muslim students, appealed for changes to a so-called “code of life,” which lays out societal norms for Herouxville, 165 kilometres northeast of Montreal.

The declaration, passed by the town council last month, says a person’s face should not be covered, except at Halloween, and that children should sing Christmas songs in December.

It warns would-be immigrants that women can vote, drive and dance if they choose.
It says adults can drink alcohol and children cannot bring weapons, religiously symbolic or not, to school despite a Supreme Court of Canada ruling that has already upheld that right for Sikh Canadians.

Although the list has no legal weight, it clearly targets religious minorities, said May Haidar, one of the women who made the journey to the community of 1,300 on Sunday afternoon.

“We’re disappointed by this `code of life,”’ Haidar said.

“It’s apparent there is a misconception and a wrong view of Muslim women, so we want to open a dialogue to let them know us and, of course, we want to know them.”

The town has already toned down the declaration, handing out another version Sunday that removed references to stoning women to death or burning them with acid. The council said in a statement that the media misinterpreted some aspects of the documents. But much of the code remained the same and the council repeated a call for changes to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to avoid “unreasonable accommodation” of minorities.

Andre Drouin, the town councillor behind the list of norms, said residents were eager to welcome the visitors and prove they are not racists.

But Drouin was unrepentant about the list and said it will stay put.
“No major change,” he told reporters.

He said the council has received thousands of e-mails from all over the world.
“We’re not alone in this,” Drouin said. “The e-mails we’ve received… they all say the same thing: `We’re behind you.”’

One nearby town has passed a resolution in support of Herouxville but has not adopted their own “norms.” Another has passed a resolution in support of multiculturalism. The debate over accommodation of ethnic, cultural and religious minorities continues to rage in Quebec and Premier Jean Charest has named a special commission to study the issue.

The Canadian Islamic Congress is still considering a human rights complaint against the Herouxville council.

Haidar, a member of the congress, said no decision has been made.
“We’re going to see what is the reaction from officials in Herouxville and then we’ll see,” she said. About 50 residents came out to meet the women Sunday, sipping coffee as they waited.

Louise Trudel spoke at length with one of the visitors. She said it was nice but accomplished nothing. “We didn’t even speak about the `code de vie,”’ she said. “At a certain point it (accommodation of minorities) must stop.”

Her debate partner, Samira Laouni, felt differently.
“For me it was very beneficial,” she said. “I didn’t leave my kids with my husband for nothing.”

Another note: Were it not for the encouragement Mr. Drouin received in the many e-mails, it would be much more difficult to hang tough. Keep those e-mails going out to him.

He’s about to find out what real pressure is…

Sneaking Islamization

February 12, 2007 by Baron Bodissey | 910 Group | 00:41:52 | Comments [5] |

I’ve previously written about a Danish counterjihad group called SIAD, “Stop the Islamization of Denmark”. SIAD has been harassed and even subjected to violence in its opposition to creeping sharia within Denmark. It is being vilified as a reactionary and racist hate group.

Anders GraversAnd now SIAD has become a political party. Anders Gravers, the founder of the group, emailed me today with the translation of SIAD’s mission statement and the “who we are” section of the SIAD website.

I’ve often said that Denmark is way ahead of the rest of the West, and can serve as a model of how to handle an aggressive and expansionist Islam. The model can’t be applied in all respects — Denmark is a tiny country with a homogeneous native population — but some of its strategies can be adapted by other countries.

Denmark is a representative democracy with a written constitution and the rule of law. It respects the rights of free speech and assembly. Under those constraints, SIAD is proposing a series of steps to deal with the encroachment of Islam.

You can read what SIAD has to say below.

*   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *

Our mission

Although it should be unnecessary to mention it, we do so for the sake of clarity: We believe in our mission!

Holger DanskeOur conviction is not based on naive imagination, nor on arrogance, nor on a lack of realism. On the contrary, it comes from a deep feeling of responsibility for our children and descendants, and for our country in general. We are of the opinion that our country is in peril, as stated in the old poem about Holger Danske. To us this famous poem means that when our country is faced with a real dilemma, the Dane (the personification of the original people) will show his true face and rise from his chair and do what has to be done.

We feel this vocation very deeply, hearing the call for help from our ancestral home. Someone has to do something before it is too late. Now is the time, as it is five minutes to twelve! Unfortunately, we cannot count on any help or leadership from our governing politicians, and therefore we have decided that this “someone” should be us, SIAD. Nobody else seems to have thought about getting involved.

A winning cause

Another important reason for us to be sure of our mission is that we know we have a winning cause. We are convinced that justice will be done, if not today, then tomorrow.

In this way, we are exactly as decisive and firm in our fight for Denmark as are our opponents among the Islamists (and their tools, the useful idiots) in their fight against Denmark. We know the forbearance and kindness of the Danish people. “We want peace in this country” — as we sing on the Midsummer eve — but there will come a time for all of us when we cannot put up with any more. And that time has already come! Thus we have decided to ignore all the divisions normally separating public movements into political parties, and rise up in a common front against the Islamic occupying power. Therefore we urge the Danish people to join the Danish Unity Party, the ideal of which is to recreate the same sense of community that they experienced during the former occupation of this country.

SIADConsequently, SIAD has no political profile except for the fact that we want to stop the process which leads Denmark toward an Islamic dictatorship.

Such an ambition is certainly not non-political, but it does not include any defined positions on financial, cultural and environmental politics, or any other conventional political doctrines. We trust the politicians with such subjects, since they are much more qualified than we are to sit and talk for hours at meetings. However, what we intend to do is to get into Parliament in order to secure the basis for the discussions about environmental, financial, cultural topics, etc., because such topics will not be allowed under an Islamic theocracy. When that day comes one will simply be required to ask the leading imam about the principles of the sharia on the subject in question. Any subsequent discussion will be understood — and punished — as heresy.

An arrangement as described above shall never be tolerated by the Danish people. Of this we are certain. Therefore we also know that we are right — on a totally democratic basis — and if we win we do it by way of democracy.

Confidence is positive

The Danish people have an extremely high degree of confidence in their elected politicians. In addition, our degree of confidence in each other is among the highest in the world.

This confidence in our society brings about a rather unconventional public stance towards the authorities, but at the same time a very strong consensus of attitude, too, due to our fundamental confidence in the political system.

Because of this implicit orthodoxy we believe that those who have been given the task of taking care of the interests of our country must do their utmost. That is, purely and simply, what we expect. And we have no doubt that each of them will do their utmost in this respect. None of our politicians, public servants, or other persons in honorary offices should want to act in bad faith and thereby put our country in jeopardy. They are convinced that they do the right thing when they sell off the assets of our country. They believe that they do their country and their people a favour if they buy “peace” by paying for the mixing of our society with the entire world population.

They really believe that it is possible to have a dialog with religious fanatics, that it is possible to talk reason with an Islamist, and that Danish values concerning welfare and democracy are universal blessings which everybody would strive to be part of.

That is what they have learned in the “school of decency”, at universities and by training within their political parties. They are so convinced that the Danish model is just as beautiful, seaworthy and impossible to sink as the Titanic, that they completely ignore the danger towards which the country is now heading.

We have a clear vision that Denmark is heading for the same fate as that of the beautiful ship which sailed to its death with drums and flags and on full steam.

The blunder was — and is — due to a state of self-important drunkenness brought about by their fantastic voyage. They totally neglect to keep their eyes on the dangers for which they are directly heading.

Be on guard!

At the risk of acting as wet blankets at the party of respectable citizens, we take the liberty to point out the danger of the sneaking (now gradually becoming obvious) Islamization of this country. Therefore, we take every opportunity to issue a “call to arms”.

This initiative finds expression in various actions and press campaigns in which we point out, lay open, and show the dangers for Danish society caused by the increasing Islamization. Our aim is to awaken the Danish people. The politicians in power have long ago shown their deafness towards warnings about Islamization. The only way to awaken these people is to punish them on election day for their irresponsibility.

In Parliament

As a consequence of the lack of political leadership in Denmark in general, and within the Government in particular (not meeting the increasing Islamization of Denmark), the resistance group “Stop islamiseringen af Danmark” (SIAD) has decided to stand for Parliament.

In Parliament our only cause shall be to fight for Denmark to remain a secure home for Danes with a democratic, open, and tolerant attitude. In Parliament — as well as outside of Parliament — we shall fight every initiative to sell out Danish values to the Islamic power. This fight shall be carried out within the law, of course, as we still have the law on our side. However, if the Islamists attain their objective, democratic and freedom-loving organizations and movements like ours shall be prohibited. Should we end in such a situation, the battle to recover the control of our country will be harder. Thus we must strike while the iron is hot — while we still have the law on our side.

Therefore, we insist that the Danish Constitution be kept and respected. Not one single comma is misplaced.

Your help

If you agree that Denmark should remain a free and democratic society based on respect and confidence, you can do something about it by letting SIAD be your representative in Parliament.

And we shall see to it that something happens — be sure of that!Actions speak louder than words!

*   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *

Who is SIAD?

  • We are a political party whose purpose is to keep the Constitution of the Kingdom of Denmark
  • We support the Danish democracy as we know it today
  • We fight anything and anyone who will limit Danish sovereignty
  • We consider ourselves to be the only active resistance group against Islam.

We are a just group of ordinary citizens who have become very tired of the sneaking Islamization of Danish society.

Within a short time (30 years) this country, which has been the home of the Danish people for thousands of years, has been moving — slowly but surely — towards an Islamic society governed by Islamic law.

Researchers at the University of Copenhagen, after conducting population studies, have calculated that the ethnic Danes (the original population) will become a very small minority in their own country by the end of this century.

And, since according to the Koran the Muslims are not allowed to marry Christians or people from other religions — unless these convert to Islam — and since the Muslims are the fastest-growing population group in Denmark, the future majority will consequently consist of sympathizers with Islam.

Future Denmark?

The sneaking Islamization has come about because a minority has shouted so loudly that nice Danish people are now organizing the Danish society according to Islamic law. In this country, which is so proud of being a pioneer for sexual equality, it now seems that in several swimming baths women and men can no longer swim at the same time, and that it is now permissible to divide the halls between men and women at Islamic meetings in municipal buildings. This country, which has so far made a good profit from worldwide pork exports, is now forced to serve meat only from halal-slaughtered animals to their new generation in the Copenhagen kindergartens. Pork is excluded, to the annoyance of Christians and Buddhists — and Hindus, too, who are not allowed to eat beef.

Denmark, which is famous worldwide for its beautiful women and its broad-mindedness, has now got a sharia police force (groups of young muslims) who annoy Danes who are naked on the Sealand beaches, and in general harass young girls who are alone on the beach, because it is against Islamic law.

Islamization has really increased

Islamization has really increased since the Muhammed cartoon crisis. In the aftermath of the crisis the politically correct press has given its approval to the regulations of the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement (read here), which states that nice syrupy stories about Muslims should incessantly be told to the Danes in order to integrate the latter into the future Muslim society.

Never before have we seen and heard so much talk about Muslims in TV and radio as we do now. The most recent incident was DR 2’s stroke of genius in hiring Asmaa Absol-Hamid as TV host wearing a scarf (hijab). A slap in the face for all those people in Denmark working for sexual equality! A stroke of genius because nobody dares to remove her now, since this might cause a new clash with misogynistic Islam. An inevitable clash because this Asmaa Abdol-Hamid was among the first to complain of the Muhammed cartoons and thus is to be blamed herself for the crisis Denmark had to face.

From Borgerliste [list of citizens’ signatures for obtaining representation in the city council] to a political party

Summa summarum: All the above points are what we call a “sneaking Islamization” of Danish society. Because we would not tolerate this development, we established the Borgerliste “Stop the Islamization of Denmark” which ran in the local election in Ålborg. We got 2% of the votes, which was not enough to get us into the local council. However, 1300 votes represent a lot of people of the same opinion as ours. This encouraged us to change the Borgerliste “Stop the Islamization of Denmark” into a political party against the sneaking Islamization of our country.

Now our goal is not to stop until Denmark has banned the parts of the Koran prescribing that the unbelievers shall be harassed, tortured, and killed. This is not a war between civilizations, as argued by some people, but a war between a stone age religion and modern civilization.

We shall not accept a cultural decline of the Danish people and their country just because of a gang of frightened politicians.

Center for the Study of Political Islam

February 11, 2007 by Vicktorya | 910 Group, education | 09:24:52 | Comments [1] |

the following was posted to the 910 Group Forum; I am copying in a portion of this referral.

… the Center for the Study of Political Islam ( http://www.cspipublishing.com/ ) is a group which has published a group of books: translations of the Koran, Hadith (Bukhari) and Sira, and put those works into the broader political context.

It’s enlightening reading, if nothing else; but their goals - in bringing the ultimate fascism of political Islam into broad view dovetails into our own goals, which is to protect civilization from this barbarism.

ACTION ALERT #2: FEBRUARY 20 RALLY IN RED HOUSE, VIRGINIA TO PROTEST ROAD NAMED FOR SHEIKH GILANI

To all who are on the East Coast of the USA – please go to this event in Virginia on Feburary 20th. … If you can attend, contact Baron Bodissey … The demonstration will begin … before the scheduled meeting … Charlotte Court House, Virginia …

Background:
On February 6, 2007, the Charlotte County, Virginia Board of Supervisors voted to name a local road to honor Sheikh Gilani. The road is an access road to the Red House, Virginia compound of Jamaat ul Fuqra, aka “The Muslims of America”. This group has been listed as a terrorist group – until removed from the list by the Clinton administration in 2000. Join several 910 Group members and participate in the Christian Action Network’s public demonstration at the February 20, 2007 Charlotte County Board of Supervisors Meeting to demand removal of the Sheikh Gilani road sign.

The road sign, “Sheikh Gilani Ln” is in front of the “Muslims of America” compound in Red House, Virginia. This terrorist-recognizing road name also appears on the public maps of Charlotte County. “This road sign is named after Sheikh Mubarak Gilani, a known international terrorist. It must come down,” said Martin Mawyer, president of the Christian Action Network. “Sheikh Gilani is the head of a Pakistani terrorist organization called ‘Jamaat al-Fuqra’, which has been responsible for numerous fire bombings and murders inside the United States.”

During the 1980s, Sheikh Gilani entered the United States and began forming guerilla training camps that go by the name of “Muslims of America” and “International Open Quranic University.” Sheikh Gilani has established at least two-dozen guerilla compounds inside America and claims to have between 10,000 and 15,000 followers in 22 states.

ACTION ALERT #4: REQUEST TO LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMBERS TO VERIFY REPORT ON TERRORIST PLANS TO ATTACK SCHOOLS IN USA.

If you are in law enforcement, we need your help. In the last month, several members sent us excerpts from a three-part report from well-known law enforcement author Charles Remsberg. http://www.americandaughter.com/index.html?http://frontpage.americandaughter.com/?p=1135

The report concerns known terrorist plans to attack U.S. schools. This report was presented by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman and Todd Rassa, a trainer with SigArms Academy and advisory board member for The Police Marksman magazine, at a three-day conference on terrorist issues sponsored by the International Assn. of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) in Atlantic City.

If you are in law enforcement, you may be able to register to view Remsberg’s article at the original site and help verify the accuracy of the report – see “Mass Slaughter in our Schools: The Terrorists’ Chilling Plan”: http://www.policeone.com/writers/columnists/CharlesRemsberg

ACTION ALERT #5: CHECK FOR KORAN-SWEARING BILLS IN YOUR STATE LEGISATURE

On February 7, a bill was filed in the North Carolina State Senate permitting Courtroom oaths to be taken on the Koran and other sacred texts besides the Bible. In mid-January, the North Carolina State Appeals Court ruled that a Muslim woman’s lawsuit to swear on the Koran in court can continue through the courts.

The problem with swearing on the Koran is that it represents the separate constitution of political Islam, not just a religion, and it specifically permits believers to lie. When one of these bills appears, usually more will follow rapidly. Please post any information you find to the 910group.com/forum, or contact Christine directly.

You can check for state legislative contacts and some info on bills here: http://votesmart.org/index.htm . A concise, fact-filled article on the political aspects of the Koran is here at Front Page magazine at http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=26769 , on the latest work from the Center for the Study of Political Islam, found here: http://www.cspipublishing.com/

UPDATE – NEW NATIONAL CHAPTER ROOMS: UK, SCANDINAVIA, AUSTRALIA

We have expanded the forum to include specific rooms for more national chapters. The Danes, as ever, have been a strong presence in 910, and we now have rooms especially for Northern European and Scandinavian issues, Australia, and for our UK members.

FOCUS ON BRITAIN – UK 910 GROUP MEMBERS TO COUNTER MEGA-MOSQUE

This 910 subgroup, of nearly 30 identified members to date, are having regular online meetings and are developing a campaign to oppose the mega mosque in London.

The UK Group, we recall, spearheaded the distribution and transcription of the London Debates, ‘Clash of Civilization’, with Mayor Livingston, Daniel Pipes, and Murray Douglas. …

All Brits, and everyone from any country are invited to help; we are all Londoners on this one!
Contact (usernames in forum) who are coordinating the group. If all British members would please indicate their country in their profile and join the UK usergroup, that will assist Aeneas in ensuring you are contacted on relevant issues. There will be opportunities to meet in person, likely in London and Yorkshire.

One new UK member is Britney British, she has provided us with this view on the proposed Mega Mosque.

Close your eyes, project into the future and imagine you are a bird flying high over London. The most noticeable natural thing you see is the Thames as it meanders its way from left to right. The most noticeable unnatural thing you see is not London Bridge, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye or Saint Paul’s Cathedral; it’s the mega mosque in Newham, the largest mosque outside of the Middle East.

The mega mosque, if constructed, will dominate our capital city. It will not only be a landmark; it will be a symbolic message to the world. It will send out the message Britain’s religious identity has reached its turning point and will never be the same again.

The group behind the mega mosque is Tablighi Jamaat, the largest group of religious proselytizers of any faith and largely responsible for the explosion of Islam. Generally assumed to be peaceful missionaries, they are members of the most secretive of Islamic organisations publishing nothing, keeping its membership anonymous and hiding its finances. If I had a past like Tablighi Jamaat, I too would be quiet about my activities and would certainly not reveal to the world my true intentions …

** to read the entire piece,
visit the 910 Group, UK Forum
www.910group.com/forum **

… Despite the evidence of the wolf beneath the sheep’s clothing, given the level of active disgust from the public and the never-ending desire of the British government to please muslims, the mega mosque is as good as built. The saying ‘Detach the head from its body’ should explain why our efforts need to be fused on saving London. If the mega mosque goes ahead, London’s future will not only be bleak but will set the scene for Britain.

More information on the mega mosque, Tablighi Jamaat and the active disgust can be found on the 910 forum, UK Group. Please devote some time to the cause which affects not only London but Britain and the Western World. Let’s all hope and pray the birds of the future see what we see today.

Running Scared in Red House

February 9, 2007 by Baron Bodissey | 910 Group, showing up | 21:54:23 | Comments [2] |

The Muslims of AmericaAs I reported on Wednesday, the Christian Action Network is planning a demonstration on February 20th in Charlotte Court House against the “Sheikh Gilani Lane” road sign at the Muslims of America (a.k.a. Jamaat ul-Fuqra) compound in Red House, Virginia.

But CAN is having ploblems attracting local Charlotte County people to the demonstration. Folks will be coming in from the adjacent counties and Lynchburg, but not from right there in Charlotte County. As Martin Mawyer, the president of Christian Action Network, told me, “The people over there are scared of those guys. They have to live next to them all the time, and they know that there are some bad people down there at the Red House compound. So they just don’t want to get involved.”

I have an acquaintance — I’ll call him Ray — who lives in southern Appomattox County, which is just to the north of Charlotte County. He in turn has a friend in Red House who lives on Rolling Hill Road, a short distance away from the JF compound.

I know that Ray and his friend are both hardy good ol’ boys, the kind of guys who are comfortable with firearms, and not easily intimidated. So I called Ray this afternoon to see if he could help me locate some Charlotte County residents who might be willing to show up at the courthouse on the 20th.

When I asked him about his friend who lives on Rolling Hill Road, a note of apprehension crept into Ray’s voice.

“Yeah, he used to be all gung-ho and say things like ‘we’re not going to put up with this crap’ — he was all ready to take ’em on. But not long ago he ran into one of those Muslims down at the convenience store [at the corner of Rolling Hill Road and SR 727] and got into an argument. And would you believe, that sucker went to his van and pulled an assault rifle on him. Ever since then he’s been keeping a low profile — he doesn’t want anything else to happen to him, so he’s laying low.”

This is a textbook example of mau-mauing in action. But it’s the most hardcore example of mau-mauing I’ve ever personally heard of.

The Great Jihad operates by stealth. The knife at the throat is not its primary weapon of aggression; it prefers to erode our defenses incrementally, using social pressure, legal action, media manipulation, subversion, and good old-fashioned intimidation.

Yesterday Christine from the 910 Group sent me the following in an email:

So now the [Charlotte County] Board of Supervisors has voted to honor one of the worst known terrorists with a commemorative road sign. Their chances of replacing the 450 lost textile jobs, or attracting tourism or new businesses just fell — they’re losing jobs, having to replace tobacco, and have an aging population. And now, to solve all their problems, they’ve decided to coddle Jamaat ul Fuqra. They’ve attained the distinction of being the one county to officially honor Sheikh Gilani. It’s something to remember when Board elections come around again.

By voting to keep the sign, the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors has insulted the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, not just their own citizens.

We need to create a national focus on their idiocy — as long as they make it a local fight, they’re fighting on JF’s terms.

Now that they’ve voted, it just became a national fight. That is what the 910 Group is all about. These little local fights are NEVER local.

CAIR and similar organizations operate by attacking individuals. Islamofascists are hunters — they cull the weakest, only going after those who are away from the herd. Bullies only attack the weak

The trick is never again to be trapped into thinking that something is local and others can’t help. The Counterjihad is always global. When the Board voted to support that sign, they made this an international issue involving Pakistan, and not just a state issue that shames all Virginians.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Map of Charlotte CountyThe demonstration on the 20th will go ahead as planned, with or without Charlotte County residents.

On the very slight chance that someone who reads this blog is a Charlotte County resident, or knows a Charlotte County resident: see if you can find a retired marine, or a VFW member, or an Iraq war vet, or maybe an off-duty state cop. Someone who’s not easily intimidated by punks with weapons. Somebody who wants to stand up for this country before it turns into France.

Have that person make his presence known. The date is February 20th. The place is Charlotte County Courthouse, at the junction of VA 47 and VA 40, right in the heart of Southside Virginia.

Laughing It Off

February 7, 2007 by Baron Bodissey | 910 Group | 17:32:12 | Comments [0] |

Charles Martel, who runs a website called Laughyourheadoff.org, sent me an email this morning.

Dear Baron,Laughyourheadoff.org is announcing today the winners of the first International Islamic Cartoon Contest. It comes on the day a French magazine is going on trial for publishing cartoons. It just so happens that our winning entry is from Denmark!

Once the Jihadi Internet brigades see our winning pictures, they will take our site down: PLEASE post these three winning pictures on your blog or website and consider publishing the press release for the event. We are hoping the MSM does not censor or news this time, and you can help make sure the public sees these winners.

We are fighting for the survival of our civilization, and art plays its part!

Thank you,
Charles Martel

MoshroomI won’t post all of the winning entries here; otherwise, what reason would anyone have for visiting Laughyourheadoff.org?

The Danish entry, which won in the “Clintonian Category”, is quite amusing. My personal favorite is “MOshroom”, shown at right. It was the winner in the “Satanic Category”.

Charles Martel (who uses a pseudonym because of ongoing death threats by Islamists) is also running a poetry contest, the Asma b’Marwan Poetry Prize: “A Call To Poets Supporting Free Speech”.

We’re launching this literary contest to bring attention to the plight of Danish cartoonists who live in hiding for fear for their lives because they exercised their freedom of expression, and we’re calling for poets and artists to speak out for intellectual freedom. Most people don’t realize that Mohammed ordered the murder of a poet who poked fun at him and then sanctioned the stabbing of Asma b’Marwan because she dared to criticize such crimes with her own poetry.

Just like Mohammed praised the assassin who butchered Asma one night while her 5 children watched, there are fanatical Muslims who agree with the call for death against the 12 Danish cartoonist because of so-called “blasphemy” against their prophet.

Martel’s efforts are part of a general European response to violent Islamic intolerance.

The poetry contest follows the declaration last week of the Manifesto Against Terror, which was signed by well-known European artists and intellectuals, some of whom are also in hiding because of Islamic death threats. The Manifesto, which is gaining signers worldwide, declared:“We reject ‘cultural relativism’, which consists in accepting that men and women of Muslim culture should be deprived of the right to equality, freedom and secular values in the name of respect for cultures and traditions. We refuse to renounce our critical spirit out of fear of being accused of ‘Islamophobia’, an unfortunate concept which confuses criticism of Islam as a religion with stigmatisation of its believers.”

If anything, the climate and support for free speech in the defense against Jihadist propaganda and pressure in Europe and the US is worse than last year,.

Look at the bizarre and dangerous trial, starting today, brought against the French magazine Charlie Hebdo for merely printing cartoons in a free nation!

Reporters Without Borders has expressed “unconditional support” for the magazine:

By publishing the cartoons, Charlie Hebdo chose to resist the attempt to impose silence by means of threats. This is what counts. The public arena must remain free.

Swedish reader LN wrote us this morning with this news about Charlie Hebdo:

Philippe Val, editor of Charlie HebdoAccording to Danish Radio 1215 CET, on entering the court this morning Charlie Hebdo editor Philippe Val said, “If necessary I will raise heaven and hell in this case.”

BRAVO!

Some of our readers are in the habit of proclaiming that “Europe is lost”; others can see new resistance stirring within the somnolent salons of Old Europe.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on European events to see who’s right…

Preparing for War in the Streets of America

Can’t reveal my sources on this but here’s something to chew on.

“Public information officers or spokesman for law enforcement agencies are purposely downplaying and in some cases lying outright to the public about arrests of Muslims in the US,” so said one Federal law enforcement official.

“We have been told what to say, and more important, what not to say, and warned not to deviate from the ‘template.’

According to this source, this is causing some officers within various departments of federal agencies to become angry at the ‘mandated political spin and pressure” created by ‘orders from above.” When asked who were giving such orders, this source could only say that it was from the “big boys in Washington DC.”
Apparently this is killing morale and “everyone knows it’s a joke.” “It makes some of us sick, the politically correct shit we have to put up with.”

The source whose father was an agent during the 1960s racial problems said what was happening then was nothing short of easy compared to now. “In those days at least there was some honesty in dealing with the problem, today there is none.”

Specifically this source was responding to inquiries concerning one MOUSA M AMBUELAWI, 22, a Muslim fro St Charles Missouri who was charged buying or attempting to buy grenades, weapons and claymore mines to be used to “prepare for war.”

MAN WAS ARMING FOR WAR St Louis Post Dispatch

A St. Charles man obtained fully automatic weapons and tried to buy as many explosives as possible in preparation for what an associate called “war,” the FBI says in court documents.

He bought three rifles and a Claymore anti-personnel mine and negotiated for a case of hand grenades, documents obtained by the Post-Dispatch show.

Mousa M. Abuelawi, 22, of Franjoe Court, was arrested Dec. 29 and charged on complaints accusing him of three counts of illegal possession or distribution of a machine gun and conspiracy to violate machine gun statutes.

Abuelawi, a Palestinian immigrant free on $50,000 bond, could not be reached.

The context of the word “war” was not explained in court filings; the FBI declined to comment.

According to the agent, this case “fits a pattern we’ve b
